Poland has been doing pretty good in my games, one of the last big campaigns i did was Castile into Spain into Rome and they were my biggest allies, controlling East Europe and practically the whole main Russian region ... till i had to betray them to conquer parts of the Black Sea, you know, the achievements sometimes break lifetime friendships ...

rino selen Poland has to do really badly for the Teutons to beat them up, Russia is another story tho, and now since Poland is not lucky anymore, it may increase the chances of a really succesful Russia or even the Teutons.

I'm very glad to see Poland/Sweden being nerfed. It's been needed as from my my experience (700+ hours) Poland always spirals out of control and Russia a majority of the time never gets to form. Not sure why you experience the opposite, Poland/Lithuania has been way too strong. It's the BBB of the east for a reason, thankfully not being lucky that might give Russia easier time.

I think the tech groups are still in the game due to the fact that some tech groups have different cavalry to infantry ratios, like Nomads are able to have all cavalry armies and have no "insufficient support" penalty.

Unit groups exist, but actual tech spread is dependent entirely on institutions.

They already did it with me when I only had 50 trust, and they probably would for Arumba too, specially because he has claims on them ( And on calling your allies to war, if you set all that they want as vital interest, they simply won't join, so even if they don't unset it, they may transfer to you anyways... )

For the first 18 months, condottieri don't provide monthly income, they have an up front payment. So for the first 18 months, he was loosing money, but had the 91 ducats he got as a down payment. Then after 18 months the monthly payment kicked in, thus the positive income.

I ate half of Bohemia and had 100 AE with him and then the Platinate declared on him so I rented him 1/3 of my army (20 units) and then found out there's a stupid bug where I have to pay the reinforce costs or they don't reinforce... so I then almost lost a bit of my army... I then canceled it and rented out my 26 with my 1,4,4,4 general and crushed and took forts from the Platinate. Then they white peaced and now i'm waiting to declare war and take the rest of Bohemia :D.
