wow can't believe you have uploaded this, fantastically moving piece of music. Marsen Jules recommended Arvo to me, and i have never looked back. If you haven't heard of Marsen, he has some vids on youtube.

Actually there is no pipe organ used in this piece. The rumbling low D you hear is a synthesized wind machine as well as the lowest D, A and C on the Cello and Bass. Arvo is a master at playing with the over tone series so the fullness you hear is coming from that. The cool thing is if you hit the overtones right, you can still make the pipes on that organ sing...

Due all respect, this was a good effort - but, I don't feel satisfied with the performance, first of all - the location doesn't really suit this style of composition, but that is a hard task in the states - one can't really depend in that there are cathedrals everywhere :P So I will take that in mind! I can't really blame the strings for the way they play - if the conductor really had known the music of Pärt he should beg the strings, also the singers, to be careful with their use of vibrato :)
