See what you doing with ending 2021 at 21 km, and plans to exceed 22 km in 2022. 😉 Never too much fun, exploring new limits! The pitch bobbles did well to test and verify updates to camera visual perspective. It would be harder to see updates if the visual perspective was rock solid.

Excellent ! But simple question 1. What altitude is this? ? Is it more than 1000 m correct? 2. About your MFD AA Tracker, is it running Ardupilot AAT firmware, or MFD system? If itnis MFD system, is it using MFD FC? Tks
@ArxangelRC Жыл бұрын
I am not certain of the altitude, but it could be around 1km, yes. The MFD tracker only runs MFD software, not an Ardupilot setup! ArduPlane is what the autopilot is using in the plane, and no, not using the MFD FC here. The SIYI system feeds mavlink data straight into the tracker.

Both are software issues with the app! If you had actually watched the video and listened to what I am saying, you would know the answer to your first question - it was an updated version of the app with the speed thing fixed! As for the arrow, I assume it is a similar bug with the app's code, and it can be fixed in a future app update.

@dankodnevic32223 жыл бұрын
That 17 dBi antenna has 40 degrees vertical beam. You can try stacking 4 of them vertically, to get 6 dB gain and double range. Penalty would be narrower vertical beam width (about 10 degrees), but at 10 km distance that is 1700 meters.
@ArxangelRC3 жыл бұрын
Right... but how would I wire them to make them work?
@dankodnevic32223 жыл бұрын
@@ArxangelRC VHF and UHF antennas are stacked with precise cuts of coaxial cables (search for stacking antennas), but for 5.8 GHz it probably needs some PCB with more precise microstrips. Try with antenna manufacturer.

@@dankodnevic3222 Right... so nothing I can do at home, especially while also not having antenna measuring and tuning equipment! :) Basically something a handful of people can do!
@dankodnevic32223 жыл бұрын
@@ArxangelRC No, you don't need tuning equipment. With some soldering skills you can try to connect with coaxial cables. Two in parallel, then those two in series. Just like 2P2S. Be careful measuring lengths. Must be equal. When connecting in series, connect Tip-Ring-Tip-Ring, not Ring-Tip-Tip-Ring. (Ring is shield of coax and Tip is central conductor). This is not ideal solution, because unbalanced cable is used, but could work. Best solution would be if you can find some microwave enthusiast to design phasing microstrip PCB for you.

Well supposedly the 20dbi should give more range... if signal rules are accurate... that 3dbi on top should give you double the range! In any case, a larger antenna area means more signal gets caught... I still haven't tested the larger antennas though!
