Ayra uncontrollably laughing her ass off when she hears her Aunt died is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show. She’s laughing both at the Hound for going through all this trouble for nothing and at the fact that all her family has been killed so like of course why wouldn’t her aunt also be dead. Literal gold

Ironically I was just about to comment on that exact scene, except saying that it was super cringey the way she just belly laughed like that. Didn't feel authentic at all. Had she just chuckled a little bit at the absurdity of the situation it would've felt better but that just felt forced.
@nicabella76892 жыл бұрын
@@colecampbell1906 i thought it was pretty funny and sad at the same time. i think she was probably a bit hysterical like, oh of COURSE the moment i think i'm gonna be safe, another of my family dies. @@nicabella7689 exactly!!! Refer to the shameless scene where the roof collapses and Fiona is so beyond losing her mind at that point that she just collapses and laughs like a maniac. Although the Hound wasn't the main character I felt he was the perfect protagonist for Game of Thrones. He is a good enough guy to root for but he is also harsh and understands that world. I felt the male Starks were a little too naive and goody toe shoe. The Hound was the best male protagonist in the series.
@slcRN1971 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the Starks had lots of honor and integrity and where did it get them - - misery, death, and very hard won knowledge. In their sheltered North, they had no survival skills for the very harsh realities of treachery. Caitlin was one of my least favorite characters - - starting with how she treated Joh Snow.
@Libellulaire Жыл бұрын
@@slcRN1971 Ironic, seeing she was the only Stark who understood about treachery and the dangerosity of the other Houses and the South. Also the only one who managed to outplay the Lannisters by capturing Tyrion and bringing him to the Vale and not Winterfell - despite announcing the opposite. Cat is a true Tully, their words is "Family. Duty. Honour." and she represents and follows them perfectly. The way she treated Jon was awful, but when you think of the words she lives by, it makes sense: Ned betrayed all three by sleeping with another woman and getting that child. Yes, Jon wasn't actually his, but he always lied to her about it because he didn't want her to treat him as a nephew, he needed the lie to be believable, and it started with lying to her about it. She was an amazing character, so many sides and depths to her.

The only one "outplayed" here is Catelyn herself, by Littlefinger.

I absolutely love their relationship. At the beginning, when he kidnaps her from the Brotherhood, she'd nothing but a purse to him. He plans to sell to Rob at the Twins. They slowly get to really know and respect each other. My favorite moment is the confrontation with Brienne, when Sandor declares that he is going to watch over her. Then, at the very end, he's the one who convinces her not to try and kill Cersei. Because, unlike him, she still has people who love her and a chance for a real life. They were both such great characters and had amazing chemistry.
