@@jimmystrudel He was a beast, though partially because of his body was so high was because he was intelligent on whom he fought. He only fought those he knew he would win against. The only exception was Ser Vardis. Whom Bronn (In the books at least.) Speculated was a better fighter than him. Only fought him because for him he felt the risk was worth the reward. It was also why he rejected the shield. Because he saw him get fully geared up, so he felt the only way to defeat him was to tire him out. Bronn was a gifted fighter, but there was plenty of better fighters out there than him. He was just the most intelligent fighter, even though he wasn't the most skilled.

The "Our order does not deal in 'pigshit'" guy ( 2:00 ) has read the entire ASoIaF book series so far as an audiobook and does an absolutely fantastic job, in a performance that is arguably better than most actors on the show, brings an incredible amount of life to every character thru some absolutely spot-on voice acting, his name is Roy Dotrice. (And yes this voice is the voice he uses for this pyromancer in the recording) he uses different voices and accents to make it very clear who is who in the maelstrom of characters that exist in this story. Given his age and that he's clearly been fighting and been a mercenary pretty much since he was fully grown, Bronn propbably fought in the war between Robert's Rebellion and the Mad King. Not sure for which side though. Probably the Mad King given he had more money. He would have ditched when he felt the tide turning. Although he said he had been north of the wall, so he's probably a Night's Watch deserter. Maybe he fought in a battle, perhaps even the Trident and was faced with death or the wall? I imagine he also fought in the war against the Iron Islands, because when there's a war on mercenaries would flock to it.
