Full Parametric EQ is key advantage of wiim mini. Basic EQ starting from 125hz is unfortunately useless in comparison, thus can not be alternative for wiim. Also, wiim mini is working as multiroom with phenomenal wiim ultra which do not have any competition on the market.

I suppose maybe for some it is a nice thing to have. In my system, with the mini, when I turn the PEQ on before even making adjustments, the soundstage flattens, so I keep it off, and I don't use the Mini in my main listing system. I use it for other zones. The Pro doesn't do this. It seems to handle the EQ better. As for the multiroom, the S10+ is multiroom as well and can work in combination with other Linkplay products. I think it's about what you wanted to accomplish with your system. If you have speakers that don't need adjustment under 125hz, say you have a simple 2 way that rolls of nicely at 50hz, the point in moot. Of course if you do need it to integrate a sub or need to add bass, when you know which to get. Thanks for the input. I appreciate the perspective 🙏

@@RickRuizAudio Parametric EQ is not only needed for correction below 125hz. Possibility to pick exactly choosen frequency within whole spectrum with required Q factor results in efects on simply different level in comparison with classic fixed EQ. On wiim mini whole room adaptation can be performed. There is no auto option as in pro and ultra, but auto option is in fact not needed. Parametric EQ can be used manually with measurements tool. In case of equipment or room which needs corrections, potential slightly loss in sound stage doesn't matter - frequency corrections are much more important for effect. One from main benefit of usung wiims product is simply powerfull dsp. It's mainly useful for bass management (in 20-200khz range, speakers can roll of at 50hz, but still may require correction for example on 72hz or at any other spectrum points), but in whole spectrum also. Q factor and exactly, precise frequencies are keys. Fixed values are not enough. If s10 can work in multiroom setup with wiim ultra, then this point is not valid from my side :)

Can one set the crossover point to high pass -> optical out while low pass -> line out? This would be great to use with a subwoofer!

The S10+ is capable of DECODING 24/192, but it will truncate analog output to 16/44.1. The toslink output is not 24/192. It is also 16/44.1 as far as I know and from looking on Arylic website. Just a heads up...

I have two questions (I am layman, sorry). I use youtube music streaming, and i think they dont have this different technology connection you are talking about (spotify, tidal and airplay). So, in this case, will I still have some benefits of play music via wifi than normal bluetooth? If so, which ones? I have no DAC, and want to buy a simple one that is at least a little better than the one on my smartphone, and I like the idea of playing music without needing to stop to liscening an audio message hahaha but my fear is that this ability will be too expensive, by comparing with using a true decent DAC with normal bluetooth for about the same price (like the smsl su1). So what you think? Sorry by my english 😬 and great video!

Unfortunately, the Arylic does not integrate KZbin Music. You can send via Bluetooth but then I would suggest a DAC like you state in second question. Get SMSL PS200! That one has Bluetooth also. amzn.to/3ZGfrmH
