Goher Mumtaz is a Pakistani musician, singer-songwriter, music composer, guitarist and actor. He is famous for being the founding member of the rock band, Jal. Goher Mumtaz and Atif Aslam, formed Jal and released their first song "Aadat," written by Goher and sung by Atif. The song became a major hit across the subcontinent. After Atif left to pursue a solo career, Goher brought in Farhan Saeed (vocals) and Amir Sheraz (bass), releasing the hit albums Aadat (2003) and Boondh (2007). Jal also performed in Coke Studio Pakistan (Season 4). After Farhan's exit in 2011, Goher became lead vocalist, and the band released Pyass in 2013, earning nominations for Best Album at Hum and Lux Style Awards.
Goher Mumtaz gained recognition for his roles in Kountry Love, Tanhai, Uff Yeh Mohabbat, Ghayal, and Faisla, where he played the lead role and composed the OST. These dramas aired on major Pakistani channels like Geo TV, Hum TV, and ARY Digital. Recently Goher Mumtaz released his film Abhi starring Kubra Khan and Hareem Farooq with renowned Pakistani singers in the film's music like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Aima Baig, Tanya Wells.
Nirmal Roy is a singer/songwriter from Lahore, Pakistan. She started her career at the age of twelve. Roy has performed and won many music competitions on national level. In 2016, she made her Coke Studio debut as a featured artist in the 9th season, with the song "Ala Bali", along with Jabar Abbas, as a part of team Sheraz Uppal. Upon release, the song as well as Roy's singing style was praised. In 2017 she was again selected to take part in Coke Studio season 11 along with Ali Hamza for the track "Jindaani". She has also done playback for several Pakistani films and drama osts including the title track of the film “Chalawa”, ost for the famous drama serial “Chupke chupke” “Mohlat” and many more.
