Not gonna be as mean as some of the comments here but man, complaining about game pass is a 'weird hill to die on' as they'd say. Literally the best thing to happen to xbox in the past decade, so many games at everyone's fingertips for the cost of a single indie or really old game a month. Lets see...12 cheap games in a year...or access to 100s including brand new games day 1. I'll take the latter.

I agree but some people buy games too and some people have kids and other expenses and so gamepass is last on that list so raising that price makes it unviable for some people bc they don't have disposable income Also some people (myself included) play fps games but don't play CoD so to us this is just paying more for nothing

You don't just get COD, you also get all the dooms, all the battlefields,deathloop, all the Halos, all the quakes, Black, and so many more. Add the free to play FPS and xbox game pass is well worth it

@chrisz198234 and that's fine. Subscriptions are a personal choice. Between Steam and Xbox I've probably bought 20 games in the last 2 weeks. Backlog is too full lol. Anyways, the point I was making is Game pass is a great value. The price of 1 new indie nets you 500 plus games, day one releases, cloud capabilities, extra deals on games. Considering your gonna spend $10 for online anyway, the extra $10 for the ultimate upgrade is worth it for me

People in these comments are so ignorant. Y'all completely missed the point in the video. He didn't make this video because game pass is a bad deal for players. It is a great deal. In the long run. It is going to kill the gaming industry. The games that we love the developers that we look for are going to all shut down at some point because they're too expensive to operate on a subscription model. I don't think game pass is bad for gamers necessarily, but it is bad for the gaming ecosystem overall.

Finally it's like first of all Xbox really doesn't need to raise the price of game price and yet it is and I get it XBOX did and Playstation+ etc.... However Xbox really only has game pass and even with the subscriptions; it's like how many games are good games on games pass or playstation+.

yes very unfortunate they shutting down those studios one with a game that performed very well and won awards another that had a stinker of a game and nobody within the company even wanted to work on. Have them make a game they are not on board with then shut them down if it fails. Starfield was overhyped and just one big dissapointment. There haven't been exciting games comming from them for a bit but the showcase did look amazing for the future, we will see. I personally never had game pass I just buy games that seem awesome, seek the opionions of trusted reviewers and go from there. And yes it does seems console players get screwed a good bit with the game pass tiers you either get fuk all or have to pay some serious money. Maybe its time to build a pc 🤣

game pass is basically the rebranded xbox live with some new features, so you may not be sold on it but you need gamepass on xbox to play online, you could aslo go with gamepass core which is 10 dollars

A lot of devs are making an insane amount of money just to be in Game Pass. Why? Because it's worth it for Microsoft. It's not just one more game. It's an investment to make the service better and get more customers. This is also why they are willing to make this gamble with CoD. It has a lot of value. Do the math. Also, if devs have the option to not put their games on Game Pass, then it wouldn't be different from movies vs. subscription services. What is keeping the new Deadpool movie from being successful?

It's only worth the money if you literally have no game library, but for most gamers with decent game libraries game pass it's only worth it for day 1 games and nothing else.

My man, there are so many mistakes in this video. For an example, game pass core existed for a long time, it was a replacement of xbox live gold. The other issue I find with your logic, you are only considering the entitled position of "I don't care about the price". For many people it's easier to pay 20$ for a game pass than 80$ for a new game in a month. There is also a factor of sales. The pricing of xbox and playstation in my country is gigantic. You can buy 2 xbox series s in price of the ps5 and still play the same games, yeah it is not the same high end technology, but it's still 200$ minimum of a difference. That is a lot of money in my country.
