The property Ms. Silk is filming on is our next-door neighbour. I have 3 questions/concerns. 1. This is not the entire Da Gama Troop but 2 females and their offspring that often sleep in the 2 trees on their property and the one on the border of theirs and ours. 2. How did the female happen to get a bread roll at the exact time the video was shot. 3. What is the point Ms. Silk is trying to make?

Population is exploding in Africa, developments are gaining everywhere, including on the National Parks, where they meet the fauna... Same problem in Kenya they build houses on the lions' territories, then they are surprised when these enter in their garden.

These baboons look fat & unhealthy as they are not eating their normal diet! It’s so sad to see them like this 😢😢😢😢😢 Stop encouraging them onto your property, be vigilant and lock your homes!

In Hout Bay in the 70's if the baboons came the urban edge they were culled, they lived and died on the surrounding mountains according to the amount of food available in veld. Drought - baboon population went down, good rain baboon population went up, baboons knew to stay out of town.

Well you just have to learn to live with them as a humans had for 1000 of years before development

They should be managed through responsible hunting practices. A study of how many animals that can naturally sustain on the size of land which the population lives then a plan put in place to keep the numbers in check. There are several different ways this can be accomplished and is practiced and proven to be effective in different regions in the world with certain species of animals.

Maybe you should give them all pre-paid credit cards and free housing. That's how European and American governments would deal with this kind of problem.
