Nowadays, it is both illegal and frowned upon to hunt wild animals for food because of conservation policies and health concerns. Monkey meat is most certainly not on anyone's menu now due to fear of the ebola virus and the fact that a lot of people now tend to see monkeys as almost like humans.

Kalia the lost gibbon is dead in 2016, killed by one of the villager. reason being the gibbon bites the villagers son. kaila bite the kid because the kid used a slingshot to hit the gibbon. so the gibbon bit the kid. the same year the old man who took care of the gibbon also died. the old man blamed himself as a reason(took care of the lost gibbon when it was very young) for the killing. sad story to watch the story, search ''Kalia The lost gibbon ' in youtube
