One of many reasons I enjoy listening to Pastor Alistair, is that he often references music. I don't ever recall singing the hymn "Courage, Brother! Do Not Stumble" which is most unfortunate. Several renditions exist on YT which I am thankful for. Older hymns for myself, do seem to be more substantial in their conviction and encouragement.

I am a bible study teacher and love it so. My pastor took so much care to teach u the fundamentals of teaching and modeled well. I have always wondered whether I was good at it or not. It is not a “job” that comes with any pats-on-the-backs. It is a calling and you do it. What I do know is that I was not teaching correctly, the Holy Spirit would fire me. The good and scary thing is that a good number of my group know sound doctrine (after all, we are Presbyterians 😊). They will reign me in. Thank you for the message.
