Great upgrade for your small shop. I am another one to say that if you are keeping that inside your garage, then you want to upgrade to a cartridge top filter vs the bag so that you are collecting fine dust particles. I put mine on the other side of the wall outside my small garage in a shed off with my wood storage. I saved on space, sound and don't get dust in the garage. It's only a couple feet farther away from where I had my old one in my garage. As others said, don't bury it too much that it is hard to empty either.

Hey brother, I have a similar dust collector from harbor freight and upgraded the dust filter to the grizzly air canister. A GREAT INVESTMENT!!!! Whenever you can, and I mean sooner rather than later UPGRADE the air filter. They’re great tools, and really keep the shop clean.

I have the polar addition 2HP grizzly , my plan was to have it on the back wall of my 24’x24’ garage but it currently in the middle of my garage next to my table saw , it’s only been 4 years one day it might make it to the back wall

Love the shop so far! Can't beat those used DC's. I snagged a nice Mini gorilla off Marketplace about a year ago. I'd recommend putting the DC near the garage door that way when you go to empty it, it's less of a mess if it spills or you know if you um accidentally overfill the bag 😂

I was able to pick up a Jet dust collector for $160 off FB marketplace. Retail was like $900.

I got a used Jet DC for $40! Bought it from a guy that has a picture frame company. He had it for years and never used it. He wanted the room and sold it cheap.
