Our Mandy, we would have to spell everything because she was so quick witted that pretty much my husbands and mine conversation she will follow along and if we’d say newspaper she’d go get it, even book, dinner, bacon, and on and on. She was so in tune to us and of course fox, deer, antelope, etc she knew it all. We had a terrible accident with her a few months back and we miss that dear girl so much. Bug hack, take a small oscillating fan and set it where you are sitting. The breeze keeps the bug especially mosquitoes away. Making that fried rice for dinner adding a bit of sesame oil. Our dog Jack makes quick clean up of our food drops. Oh and Confucius say, "I never said all that shi*" lol We are heading to Glacier NP. Happy trails all.

We live in Maggie Valley NC and have not heard of crab tree falls. So I just thought we have seen every water fall in a 100 mile radios from here. We live at 4000 feet on a mountain and have a wonderful view of the mountains. Love your videos keep them coming.

We are so glad you loved it! We both love that song too... we've used it twice now in the last 4 months... and we'll probably use it again. 😂. Editing software? It depends. If you're using a Mac or iPad I'd start with iMovie. It's free and you can do a lot with it. Many of the short segments in our videos are actually edited on iMovie on the iPhone or iPad and then imported into Final Cut Pro X as one big clip. So you could definitely make that work. If you're on Windows then Filmora from Video Share is one I'd look at. Thanks for being part of the gang here. If I can help with anything about getting started just ask.

Beautiful part of the Blue Ridge mountains! I went there in 2016 and stayed in a cabin near Burnsville, NC, not too far from Crabtree Falls. Did the drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Mt. Mitchell to Grandfather Mountain and to Blowing Rock! Spectacular scenery on that drive!

Gonna be TOO HOT the next 2 weeks (at least) to use it outside so not sure when we will use it! I've backed out of getting the e-bikes. I keep thinking about all the people I know that have them and have taken spills on them. I've had too many falls off horses in my 40's and 50's and I can't afford to fall, especially at speed. VAN TREKKING lifestyle for the phone, how long do you record on it? Just for some scenes? Certainly not for the entire trip? Do you use a regular dash cam as well? We just purchased a dash cam but haven’t installed it yet. It’s been near 100 here since we got the griddle, so we haven’t cleaned or seasoned it yet. It’s gotta cool down first! We can’t wait for tomorrow’s video!!! BTW, I didn’t get a Rad bike. I ordered a regular bike first. It comes next week and I’ll give it a shot. If you like dirt roads you would love ( Wiseman's Overlook) the dirt road that follows the rim of the Gorge it's just beautiful. At one point you can see where the gorge opens up into Lake James.

I have two relatives that use the SPOT (older Gen) and the Garmin (marine). As far as I know neither one activated their devices. @@VANTREKKINGlifestyle it has a very big pool which is closed right now because of the pandemic the Hillsborough River cuts right through there are some small little waterfalls and a suspension bridge it is very pretty it is an older Park and sustained some damage from Hurricane Irma a few years ago a bridge and a wall needs to be fixed but overall it's a great Park it has a lot of history but most things are closed 👍

Do you know if the blue ridge parkway has a height limit? there looked to be a low bridge you went under. We are in a Class C. Thank you and really enjoying your videos (we watch them as a family to help us plan our next trip!)

That is so cool that you watch them as a family! The lowest bridge we went under was 12’ 4”. And that is measured from the lowest point which is the side. We are under 11 feet but we still ducked our heads inside the van, which always helps. :-). If you won’t fit there are usually detours around that lead you through a local town. But the portions around Asheville have quite a few tunnels. If you fit, they’re fun... if not, that would be a pain. Thanks for being with us!

VAN TREKKING lifestyle ...there have been a few edgy ones I didn’t appreciate, but in today’s climate I believe u-tube should refrain from showing political adds supporting ANY candidate. I just didn’t know whether the add was a personal political preference of yours....or if it was out of your control. Thank you for the quick response. We enjoy your show and are finding places we want to visit in the other part of the mountains in NC. We’re over by Brevard for half of each year and FL the other half. Google/KZbin base the ads they show on your viewing/search history. But a lot of the $$ going into ads right now is from politics. If your know us you know that would be the last types of ads we would show. You can click on the ads info menu and select Hide. Then you'll see less from that ad. In theory anyway. Good you're with us. We love both of your back yards. 👍❤️❤️

We will try to show Lynn doing her happy dance or maybe we’ll try and do it together. One thing we are learning this summer as we are exploring our on state more is you don’t have to always travel thousands of miles to find magnificent beauty. In the past we may have taken that beauty for granted. A good lesson to learn. Thanks for the comment.

The container is made by Cuisinart, we love it because the top an bottom come off so it’s easy to clean. We got it at Walmart. Thanks for the question.
