Yes good stuff! I've had to break this out to help out a product that has dried out my hair. I also feel you on trying to decide what brand to use on wash day. For me my hair remains moisturized longer using the LCO method and logically (to me) it makes more sense.

Hey there!! I keep a journal of what I use on wash day. It's sort of a record and a planner. I've got my wash days planned thru September with the products I want to use. I have brand takeover days, use your stash days, or one ingredient takeover days (olive oil or rosemary & mint). I tweak the products according to what I think my hair needs. It also helps me alternate rice water and tea rinses. I aldo try to detox once a month with clay or charcoal.

This is a superb product for me. I have high porosity 4c hair which is medium thick. I always use it on damp hair. Wash and gos don't work for me because of the shrinkage and my hair dries very quickly.Also I live in the Caribbean so try to avoid products with glycerin. Great results. Well done!

Hey girl! I've never used the Doublebutter as a styler, but I've been using it as a moisturizer for a few years. Just a smidgen if this stuff will keep your hair moisturized for a week or more. I use it prior to my styler and it's one of my staples.

I just ordered two 2⃣ jars of as I am from Amazon today. I've been wearing my hair natural for two years. It has grown a lot since then. I cut my ends every month, I apply this to my hair I love the ingredients that what sold me. I've been using ORS moisturizer for a long time, now I resonly saw a product call Pattern on Pinterst It has the look as As I Am put it cost twenty five dollars. and probably has the same ingredients. I love using rosemary oil, it also made my hair grow. I ordered a large bottle of it and vitamin E oil from Amazon that will come this afternoon. I been wearing my hair in either plaited or two stran twist.

My hair was crazy today, zI wish the Bush would come back in style. to day I was lazy so I just spray it with my water bottle. and I added some drops of rosemary oil to the cream and just but my hair in a up swept ponytail. when I don't feel like twisting it that's how I wear it. and wear a slik scarf to bed..

@@EssenceofCoils Oyin is a slept on old school brand. I also think you'll enjoy the Whipped Pudding, thick creme. The Hair Dew is a good moisturizer, but, doesn't have much slip if you're interested in that. Their pomades are really good sealants.

So my container matches the Sally's ingredients. Mine is OLD, like probably close to 2 years old😬. As I Am has probably reformulated it and has updated their website, while Sally's kept the old list. Both lists contain great ingredients and I doubt anybody would be able to tell the difference in the 2. Get which ever one is cheaper, Sis. You can't go wrong. You'll love it no matter what😊!

Your hair came out beautifully! First time seeing one of your videos so I don't know what it usually looks like. I was about to ask you how it holds up in humid weather but then you suggested using a light gel. Do you have a recommendation? Maybe I just don't know how to use gels or what I have does not work for me, the definition gets destroyed in humid weather.

Hi there👋🏾! I am so THRILLED that you stopped by😀. Thanks so much! Yes, that double butter cream is my favorite retail styling butter. It is SO SO GOOD!! If you don't live in a humidity area, you will be fine. If you do, I would recommend like one of mane choice gels or a flaxseed or aloe gel (especially in the summer) Something light and not too heavy. I personally wouldn't use Eco or Wetline, though I have seen people pull it off successfully. Do you have any gels? Also this time of the year, humidity is low. I bet you could get away with a leave in and the butter by itself😊. If you decide to try it, let me know how it goes🙂🥰. O hope you will subscribe and stay around for more videos.

@@EssenceofCoils so kind of you to respond with recommendations. Yes, humid weather destroyed my hair even when I had a relaxer. The only gel I tried was the Eco in the green tub and it felt horrible and I felt like I was never going to be able to get my hair detangled. I also bought the Giovanni light gel. Both I just really wanted to try on my edges and it didn't really hold and one of them I tried to do a wash and go with for the first time and it seems it made my curls much tighter than they are which of course made it really difficult to detain go and get that out. I will look at The Mane Choice because it's warm around here and humid more than it is cold and will also check out the other suggestion. I will subscribe but for the last several months I have not been getting notifications for anyone so hopefully you'll pop up again cuz I always misplace my little notes of names but I might be able to look you up somehow under my name. Love your reviews, your hair looks good. I have a similar hair type to yours type 4, with coarse strands .I find the Doublebutter cream leaves a waxy residue on my hair. I think it's due to the shea butter which my hair doesn't like. I tried to make it work and I ended up giving the jar away to my friend, who loves it. Any tips for low porosity type 3 hair?

My biggest tip is to deep condition WITH heat with a quality deep conditioner 25-25 minutes after every wash. That was the one single thing that I learned to do consistently that made the biggest difference in my hair. I never skip that step. Just deep conditioning is not enough. Low porosity hair need heat for that deep conditioner to absorb inside, and THAT will help your hair stay moisturized so much longer.
