There was a cat down the road on a different street from me and It use to follow me all the way to my house and run in and up the stairs amd sit on my bed. A couple times it tried following me on to the train when going to my friends for a smoke. I had to miss my train to stop it. I notice that the cat's left ear was tipped which in America means that it's been spayed/neutered. A cat came to live with me after the people who were feeding him moved away. I used to see him on the next street sometimes out in front of the house and then one day I saw him there after the house was empty. Within a few weeks he found my house complete with a doggy door so he could help himself. My cats didn't mind as long as he left after he ate but then one day I put food out for him to see if he would let me pet him. It took about three days and he was really hungry so he stiffened up but relaxed after a minute. The next day when I got home he was hiding under my bed with all my cats gathered around glaring at him. He was a good cat.

I think that cat was trying to show you something by that drain. She was asking for help and knows affection with humans is the best way. First she got your attention and tried to walk you towards it constantly looking in that direction. When you left after stopping with her there she was trying to steer you back towards that place by cutting you off in a seemingly urgent manner and when she was getting desperate as you got too far she tried to climb you to make you realize that you were going the wrong way and it was urgent. Maybe she lost a kitten down there or something.

A cat once did this to me too, I found him at a park, he was so adorable he was a baby, not exactly a kitten but still a baby. I went there a lot more and he started following me to my building and he stays there now! He also comes onto lap now and he found my balcony and comes there to see me! I let him inside the house and he does no harm just looking around here and there and comes back to me and onto my lap and let's me to love him, until this day he still comes and he is 3 years old now. I even named him, Oscar

TheDoge777 That is a possibility, but it's not right to assume then automatically take animal off the street. It's very common for people to own indoor and outdoor cats. It's even more common for cats that are allowed outdoors to wander around. If someone takes the cat home they need to at least put up found cat posters, and try and locate the owner. I've seen people lose their cats before when somebody assumes it's a stray and just decides that it's their cat now.

My cat likes to this one...following me like this when i went to the supermaket ,near from my ancient house, but far away from city. During my boughts,he was waiting from me ,hided under a car parked,and following me again till our house when i went out of the shop. For me,it was one of the most beauiful proof of love whitch i was ever given. Even all my ex-girlfriends would never have done somerthing like that. Thank you to exist,my cat.
