64 and riding since 11, mostly alone. Now and then I ride with others but few have the experience or time with the scoots and I ride a bit faster than most. I am most likely to ride my life right to the end alone. Ride safe and let the road guide you to your next destination.

Great subject! I’ve got close to 300,000 miles on a Harley. I used to ride with friends but as we age, people pass away or get health issues that prevent them from riding. I don’t ride with other riders. I enjoy riding alone. Though, my favorite is when my wife is with me. Whether it’s heading somewhere local for lunch or for a trip across the country, we always enjoy each other’s company and have a great time. Along with several other trips last year, my wife and I rode coast-to-coast in a roundabout way (split up into two trips). We rode from Colorado to Key West, and several months later, we rode from Colorado to Los Angeles to visit family. We had such a great time.

As a fellow introvert, I prefer to ride alone. But I'm never alone because I ride with and for Jesus Christ. I'm a beginner rider, just got my first bike a month ago with the intention to not just ride, but to be a light for Jesus on the highway. I was raised in a family that loves bikes. Throughout the years I've picked up on certain things to know when I get my first bike. But having knowledge and actually using it are very different. This is yet another reason I prefer to ride alone. I'm not far enough into riding to ride in groups yet. I rode with 1 person recently but that's all. It was an enjoyable experience, but I felt that sense of wanting to do my own thing, and couldn't at that moment, so I can relate to what you said. For me, riding is about the freedom of the open road as well as spending quality time alone with Jesus while letting my bike spread seeds for Him, due to the way I have it decorated. Being an introvert, I too recharge when I'm alone and with Jesus. Riding is the only time I can truly relax and talk to Him, knowing that no one can hear me but Him. Riding is my "Me Time" so to speak, and also my escape from everything. I doubt I'll be riding in many groups for that reason.

Nice video, 2 Wheels. I am also an introvert but I do like riding with my buds. I rode alone from ATL to see friends in Colorado Springs (my wife flew b/c she doesn’t ride 😂) this summer. I don’t consider myself a risky person so riding alone that far was a bit daunting as I would focus on “what if” scenarios. None of them happened, so I was fortunate but now that it’s under my belt, I want to take more trips alone. I’ve ridden for 20 years, mostly with others but as I get into my 50s, I feel that shifting. I won’t avoid taking trips with others if someone has a good idea or wants to join me, but I won’t wait on them to go where I want to go.

I have a really good friend that I have been friends with for 58 years since I was 5. We both ride and live relatively close to each other but our riding styles are completely different. He likes to start off by stopping for a huge breakfast ride a couple hours then stop for lunch a drinks. Another couple hours of riding then 5 o’clock somewhere happy hour then home. My style of riding is eat my small breakfast at home before I ride and eat a snack when stopping for fuel while stretching the legs. The difference between the two more ride time on my part less intake of food and alcohol. But my buddy is happy the way he rides and that’s what it’s all about. I do wait till the end of the day to have a couple cold pops. Unfortunately because I prefer the way I ride I do ride alone a lot. Oh well I’m happy.

That is the most important thing there my friend, that you are both happy doing what you love and the way you love to do it. I've always been more of a "loner" especially when riding my bike. I've been riding over 50 years, and would occasionally ride with friends in small group rides. However, in the last 2 or 3 years, I've "considered" joining two different motorcycle groups. The first one wanted to TELL ME when & where I could wear MY OWN vest. The second one told me that "they have NO Rules, NO Dues, and NO mandatory meetings or rides!' Yeah, that didn't turn out to be TRUE! So, I changed my mind real quick about that! Those "groups & clubs" are ALL about CONTROLLING YOU! And I have NEVER allowed anyone to CONTROL ME, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna start now! Therefore, I now have a patch on my vest that states: NO Clubs, NO Rules, JUST RIDE!" I still ride with friends occasionally on local rides, like the "Blue Ridge Parkway," the "Best of the Snake" and the "Back of the Dragon." And I do a lot of solo riding all by myself, or just with my oldest son. I enjoy those rides much more than riding in large groups!

I wish I had the time on the saddle that you have, I found riding later in life, but now I can't imagine my life without it. Those are the same reasons that mace clubs not appealing to me. I love riding because of the freedom it offers me, the club structure is not attractive to me. I respect the people that choose that life, and the brotherhood they display is definitively admirable. I do have friends I ride with occasionally, but the majority of time is solo. I'm happy for you, living the dream man, riding with your son must be something else. Thank you for checking out the channel, I appreciate your support.

I just completed a cross country trip from Maine to California and everything in between. 4 buddies, 38 days, 28 states, 11,710 miles. It was nothing short of epic!! We all got along great!! 4 is the most I would go with. I’m not into huge groups. I enjoy riding alone but this was such an amazing trip with a great group of guys!! We also stayed a week in Sturgis and did the Harley homecoming. Many national parks and climbed Pikes Peak!! THAT was Epic!!!

My man, now that is an epic trip!! What an adventure. A group of four sounds great, it probably also helps with the cost of lodging along the trip, and if they are close friends even better. Brother you just mentioned a couple of places that are a most for me, I'll have to wait until I retire to do a trip that long, as there is no way they'll let me leave work for 38 days LOL. But congratulations, that trip is the dream!! Thank you for sharing that with us. Also thank you for checking out the video, I appreciate the support. See you on the wind!!

Later this month, I will be flying to FL to pick up a bike and ride it back home to WA. 3800 miles. It should be the ride of a lifetime. I ride alone. I don't like riding in groups as there's always pressure at some point to keep up with the group. That's also why I won't go on tours where they won't tell you where they are going. I'm the type to say, I'll meet you there. I do my own thing.

My longest solo ride was about 2500 miles up and around Lake Superior from lower Indiana beautiful ride. Rode to the Keys solo, prefer riding with a buddy that doesn't mind a change in destination. Road to Daytona multiple times last time gas stop in Tampa Bay he said I remember you saying you'd like to ride to Texas I said yeah I remember. Well how about now! We road to Beaumont hung out for mc repair mine at Cowboy HD good experience fyi. then angled up thru states towards home here in SE Indiana. I've retired since then now raising two granddaughters has put a stop to 5,6-day rides for now we ride usually 2-3-day rides when we can. 3 breakdowns 2 flats on softails which really sucked a sensor failure in Texas. 1 flat was on a solo ride. be prepared and enjoy. Ride On, fellow rider.

Do the trip you will not regret it... I take 2 weeks of vacation every summer and spend the whole time on the bike traveling around this great country all by myself. I plan the route for me and what I want to see and do. Not having to worry about what someone else might want to do, call me selfish. I also do weekend trips up to the NC/TN hills (I'm down here in Charleston, SC) a couple times a year. I leave Wednesday for Daytona again all by myself. Can't wait.

Just got back from a 2200 mile solo trip to the Oregon and California coasts on my new gsxs1000gt. It's nice to have a riding partner, but I enjoyed it immensely. Some of the most beautiful forests and ocean on earth. Would have taken my HD, but it's a Low Rider and not much room for stuff. I'm 66 and been riding since 1970. Can't get it out of my blood. Greetings from North Raleigh. Small groups of 3 or 4 are good, but so is riding solo. Riding with one other, like minded rider, works well also. I’ve done the ride to Sturgis, most of Rt 66, Beartooth Pass - long cross country riding is great. I’ve ridden from here to Americade (Lake George) and back, solo. I’ve ridden nearby states solo. Solo riding gives me time to think, see what I want, stop when and where I want. I’d like to do a solo ride down to Key West and back one of these days. Good video 👍

Thank you Familia. I’m with you, a long trip solo on the bike and all the problems fade away. I can’t wait for Sturgis next year, it will be the 85th anniversary too. Also trying to fit Arizona Bike week on the spring, that would be a nice roadtrip. The ride to Key West is fun, getting around Miami & Broward Co can be a pain, traffic there sucks. I did it last year, rode solo to Daytona for Biketoberfest, meet with a friend and then we rode to Key West together. Spent a night there and then rode to Panama City for Thunder in the Bay. Then I went back to Miami for a work meeting and then back home to Fuquay. Really fun trip. Route 66 & Beartooth Pass are bucket list for me.
