Nobody is perfect.. even a Christian singer can very well fall to his demons. Tim.. you got 6 years.. just do the time, I for one have not judged you, for we all have our own demons.

@@courtneytowery8152 I was saved at 5, got baptized, went to church, did everything right. Then went thru every phase from occult, to agnostic, to full on atheist, and by the time I hit 40, I came back full circle and am more convinced than ever before that God is real, and who He says He is. If Tim was really saved, God will likely pull him back into the fold eventually. The problem is there was a huge wave of metalcore bands in the 2000's that called themselves Christian because it was popular at the time. Aside from a few like Phinehas, it's hard to tell which ones really were.

'Awakened' is by far one of the best albums I've ever had the joy of listening; the guys were inhumane in their writing and composition.

sound mixing in this album is the best among all their albums, I think Awakened was the most budget album they ever made.

@@Holaaparty What to you think of their last album, compared to Awakened? I don't think they outmatched it unfortunately
@Holaaparty2 жыл бұрын
@@Surokkh I still like it but one big disappointed in latest album for me is none of them has iconic riff as every other album did since the old days like darkest night,through struggle , sound of truth, parallel , greater foundation and more. My own grave is close but still. PS. my most favortie song of their is Overcome I think its masterpiece in all aspect.

What makes As I Lay Dying (and a few other metalcore bands) stand out and not suck is that they constantly change their sound from album to album so they keep away from being generic and add something new album to album, yet they stay true enough to their style that they don't sell out and keep a solid fan base. Any good band should progress and tweak their sound a little. Can't wait to see them again.

My top three favorite metal bands of all time! All their albums are kickass and a good meaning! I am christian and god has saved my life and christian metal is me! They are the best of the best along with impending doom, war of ages, children of bodom, devil wears prada, and august burns red! Luv it and can't wait to hear all this album!
@sonicx221812 жыл бұрын
So at first I thought the lyrics were pretty bad until i actually read them out on a page. Definitely talks about an inner struggle. It's talking about the balance of letting out all your emotions/feelings and keeping them bottled up; pulled apart for telling the truth, or stuffed into a cell for hiding everything. Speaks to me and def changed my mind about the album lyrically.

AWESOME song. As I lay dying is one of my favorite metalcore bands, started off with iron maiden, slayer and metallica, then expanded to fear factory, and some megadeth with gamma ray, symphony x, stratovarius, sonata arctica, lamb of god. Point is I love all metal, but as I lay dying is one of my favs

Maybe the chorus is not irony at all, but the reflection of Tim´s mindset that led him to where he is today, it is not the only song that has lyrics that happen to touch subjects like this.... It could also be my mind seeing that in the lyrics due to the influence of the recent events... Either way my bet is that this is no coincidence... Ricardo R.

I don't get it why people say this is "devil music", even though all the members are Christian and consider themselves as a "Chistian Band".
