How does this still melt my face after 15 years? a timeless classic. Man i miss those days. Its friday night in 2005, just got done skating with the boys. About to hop on runescape for the rest of the night while talking to my school crush on MySpace while blasting this song in the headset. Times will never be the same.

Thank you for being the genesis of the greatest years of my life.

People need to remember that this band is more than just Tim. Sure Tim was the front-man and the foundation, but Jordan is as much a foundation as anyone else (the drummer). Many bands have lost their frontman and continued to thrive. Sadly the circumstances surrounding Tim polluted things, but that does not make any song the band made any less great than it previously was in retrospect. Music is timeless. While Tim may have lost his way, he was only one cog in a much larger whole. It's disrespecting to the hard work everyone else put into the band and Tim's actions should not be allowed to taint who and what As I Lay Dying was and is. RIP. I hope Wovenwar at one point starts playing As I Lay Dying songs. Because they ARE As I Lay Dying, and they should have the right to play the material they worked so hard on with or without Tim.... they just lost a (huge) part of what made them, but not the only part. And, in many ways, not the most important part either.

@@ToddlerEater I'm not religious but this song is definitely about Jesus. Christians view converting to Christianity as giving their heart away to their savior. This whole album is really religious. Tim just did a good job at making the lyrics open to interpretation though. I thought the religious subject of the lyrics on this album were blaringly obvious. Maybe you need to see a 4th grade English teacher
