These songs are a prima facie showing that Mancino is the sickest metalcore drummer.

Real talk. Seen them in a tiny little bar in State College PA on Penn State campus when this album came out. Absolutely amazing. This song always hit me some type a way.

"Distance is Darkness" is such a great track. I wish they'd go back to this more raw and frenzied style. Modern AILD has gotten a bit too polished for my taste.

@papercut627 you're right, but I'm happy there are people who won't let this music die. To tell you the truth I don't want to see TV occupied by metal, because it's not for everybody and I'd better feel that I listen to special music. These so called stars (Bieber and others) will be forgotten by fans after few years, but metalheads will always remember bands like "as I lay dying."

@Hinatafan4ever666 Do you care about their beliefs or about their music? Yes, they're a Christian band, I'm a Christian too, why would that matter? It's a common misconception about AILD that they sing about God. You can find lots of other meanings in their songs. For example, for me, 94 hours is about a relationship between lovers and not about GOD. At least AILD don't sing "let's have some fun this beat is sick,I wanna take a ride on your disco stick." :)

@DemonRuby Same could be said about a lot of AILD's music, because a lot of it has Christian lyrics about how super charged awesome god is. But, we can agree to disagree on all of this. It's your opinion.

@papercut627 I have to say, while I'm not exactly a fan of Lady Gaga, "good music" is an entirely subjective thing. There are plenty of people who intensely dislike metal. Saying one kind of music you like is good, while you music you don't like is bad, is hypocritical and unfair. I still like AILD

@Hinatafan4ever66612 жыл бұрын
@DemonRuby Again, we can agree to disagree. You like this music because it is catchy, you like metal. If it was... say, country or techno, or something, you wouldn't have the same opinion. All in all, if it's catchy, people will like it, whether the lyrics are idiotic, religious or otherwise.

@DemonRuby12 жыл бұрын
@Hinatafan4ever666 I'm not a music critic, this is my opinion, everyone is free to listen to whatever they want, but Lady Gaga's "music" (and not only her music) is a brainwashing machine to turn people into zombies - simple, primitive sound with meaningless lyrics and completely stupid message in songs, plus a talentless singer with a terrifying appearance. This is what a new generation idolizes and it's a disaster.
