I love that the themes of this new stuff heavily revolve around turning your life around, forgiving yourself, moving forward, and not living in the past. I know some people will never forgive Tim, including his closest friends, but salvation is possible, and I don't even mean that in a biblical sense because I'm not religious.

Blinded, Take What's Left, My Own Grave, The Toll It Takes, Roots Below, Parallels are some of the best metal songs ive ever heard. Fun to play along with too.

As per today, As I Lay Dying is as good as gone.. Having a comeback moment on Shaped by Fire (which is once in a lifetime event), and now everyone else quit again except the owner of AILD.. I don't expect the album will be released, but seeing the evidence and historical pattern of Tim's issues it might be released as a posthumous release before the band becomes Tim & rotating touring and studio members...

Once that lead Riff started I was hooked. Same feeling I got when Fit for an autopsy dropped Hostage. My only complaint there needed to be an actual heavy breakdown. Add that and it's 10 out of 10. Right now 8.5/10. But this feels like a resurrection of Meoldic Metsl Core and I love it!
