@Ferbocarbo2 ай бұрын
What do you mean? Most people sing with an accent if it's not their first language
@minkamaree6 күн бұрын
My guess of what they would mean by that is...Sortof like how there are people born outside of America, with accents of their homeland when they speak English as a second language and even English as a first language. For some reason they will perform and record vocals sounding very American English-y. The band 'The Animals' for example... Listen to their song "House of The Rising Sun". The vocalist is Eric Burdon and he's British from England I believe, but he didn't sound so to me. The only giveaway really, in my opinion, is the first time he sings "they call the rising sun" the way he sings "call" seemed like a British accent and other times he sang "call" it was American English accent. Easy to miss that slip if you don't pay enough attention. If it wasn't for the slip, I'd of guessed they were from America.

For anyone who was not there, let me paint you a picture When Spiritbox played Soft Spine, they, out of nowhere, brought Poppy on stage. I immediately recognized her scream and was ecstatic. A couple songs later, they play Yellowjacket, and that's when I realized that Architects played after Spiritbox's show, so I knew it was all but guaranteed Sam Carter would be a guest vocalist. Lo and behold, he was. Two incredible guest singers on stage so close to each other was an amazing experience all on its own, but I thought that was the end of it. Two guest vocalists? That alone is crazy, truly such a feat, but alas, it's all over, right? THE VERY NEXT SONG is Circle With Me, and out of nowhere they pull out Tatiana Shmayluk. It caught us so off guard. ANOTHER fantastic guest vocalist? Three of them back to back to back? It was easily the highlight of the whole festival. How many times over the last few years were these two compared against each other? This is the beauty of the metal scene and fans around the globe wanting this to happen for a looong time. We needed to hear these two harmonize each other. Magnificent. Beautiful. Love it. Hopefully Jinjer has a drop soon with Courtney.

Yeah. Courtney is improving every year and getting stronger and deeper, she works hard and it pays off. Also very clean natural voice. Tati remains a freak of nature though. She is unparalleled and you can hear it when the both of them go hard after the drop. Tati is literally opening a portal to hell. Jesus fuck is she amazing.

I discovered Jinjer back in 2020 during the pandemic through Pisces. Then a year later in 2021 a late friend recommended Spiritbox and I discovered them through Rule of Nines. Since then I've seen Jinjer and SB live back to back. Seeing this makes me cry. A tour with these two needs to happen!
