As ICONIC as outback travel gets! The Anne Beadell Highway

Our second day on the Anne Beadell Highway, We venture off from Yeo Homestead aiming for Neale Junction. We spend some time reflecting at Mitch’s grandma’s memorial post. The corrugations intensify but the scenery only gets prettier, from spinifex to the rolling red sand dunes and desert gums. This country is special.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians and owners of the land where we travel, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
We recognise their connection to Country and role in caring for and maintaining Country over thousands of years.

Just stumbled onto your channel and it's very rewarding to see a couple enjoying the outback. Special kudos to your family heritage. We have so much to thank Len for in opening up this wonderful country. Travelling all his tracks was on my bucket list and I'm pleased to say its been ticked off. Did the trip East to West in 2010 on the way to the CSR. The SA side of the track was very bad, but, improved considerably once we crossed the border into WA. Keep the spirit alive and travel safe.

Absolutely stunning country! Rough but beautiful! Our chairs are Helinox Savannah chairs and they are brilliant, compact, lightweight but super comfy!

It's special country out there. The next section was brutal for us in 2019 westbound, I think it got better(ish) towards the western end of the reserve.

Stunning country! The western section was a little better then the eastern section but it was pretty close. It came in patches really

​@@Wanderingaus_adv it does, and the same goes for all of Lens roads, speaking from recent experience! All desert roads can change quickly. I remember that next stretch being particularly bad. Can't wait for the next one, That tree at Neale Junction might have me back again someday.

And they reckon there's nothing to see in the outback. Well, they're wrong. Just have a look under any tree, bush or shrub and what do you find? You have to love the sand, stones, fallen branches, leaves and insects. The list goes on.. Cheers, I'm just having coffee and bickies.
