Sorry it’s taken us till now to watch your new episode. Sad to see you had so many troubles with your Starlink but we’re sure you already know a pure sinwave inverter is the way to go. It’s a absolute game changer when up and running and having this device whilst on the road is brilliant technology. Agree totally though that a 12 volt device would of been better but we just turn ours off at night to save battery power and restart it on the morning. This way it only takes 10 minutes to reboot and your up and running. Keep enjoying and see you on the next one 🤗

It is hard to keep up with watching on the road hey, we are so far behind on our regulars at the moment! We ended up changing the inverter once we got to Alice and it has been brilliant having the star link, blows our minds that you can be in the middle of no where and have internet!! Hi Craig, As per star link problems. It will definitely be caused by the modified sine wave inverter. Sensitive electronics don’t like the modified, need the pure. This is also reinforced as you said the laptop didn’t charge properly with the modified. Will probably be nothing wrong with your robbo inverter. Really appreciate your videos. Hope you keep them coming.

As per the other comments grab yourself a 300w pure sinewave inverter and you'll be fine. Jaycar in Alice have them if you are still heading north. Great vids as always!👍👍

Hi Guy's, I would suspect that the Starlink does not like the "modified" inverter. I would consider buying a "Pure Sinewave" inverter which will run any device as it has the same signal output as your power points at home. Whilst your at it you may consider also upgrading to at least a 2000W inverter just in case you wish to use an induction cooktop (great when it's windy) or a coffee machine!

Thanks Rod for the advice! We ended up replacing the inverter with a pure sinewave and it runs it fine now 😊 we had hoped, given we had to replace it, to get a 2000W one but unfortunately there weren't alot of options in Alice Springs 😊 we are happy though at least we can run the starlink and charge laptops now. I was waiting for the hairy bit of road just before you hit the valley where the old river crossing has fallen apart. Either they’ve fixed it or you didn’t show it? It’s such a gorgeous place down there, I went in summer and all around the water was filled with budgies and there were butterflies everywhere.

They may have fixed that bit up Amanda as we didn't come across a river crossing that had fallen away. The track was certainly slow going but mainly cause it was so rocky. Oh wow that sounds like it would of been spectacular to see! You certainly went at the right time 🦋 such a beautiful spot isnt it! Thanks for watching 😊

@KWofPerth yeah ended up getting a new pure sine wave inverter and it works great. Though having said that I think original inverter in the Robbo was just not working properly regardless.
