Agreed but they are not just an embarrassment, they are a danger to all Americans. When you think about all that Americans have gone through these past four years and what we will continue to go through because of the actions of the Biden admin and the catastrophes they caused, you have to wonder why they hate the world so much. These are very sick people.

Iran's always been a multicultural multiethnic country throughout history. IRANIAN Nation, despite all ups and downs has been the best Israel's friend. They helped Jewish people and later the Jewish State whenever they were able to. From the Era of Cyrus The Great to WW2, from 1967 to 1979. Help them get rid of the Islamic Republic and you both have a strategic ally you can count on for so many years to come.

It was a great and timely discussion. My 2 cents worth: 1) israel needs to becomes self sufficient in basic items. Especially in the military fields. A must It means minimal reliance on other nations. Granted, it is easier said. 2) Israel must work to weaken the State Department and strengthen the Defense Department in the US This, I think, is a 5* priority ------ In both cases, may I suggest Israel talks with India, who has extremely similar problems?

Dear Caroline, I follow your show closely and deeply appreciate your insightful analysis and political perspectives. If I may humbly add a point to your discussions with your esteemed guests, I believe there is a need to address a strategic approach to peace in Israel, taking into account the intricate religious and socio-political complexities of the region. While accords with neighbouring Arab countries are commendable, they often lack deep sincerity and remain fragile. This is primarily because the hope for peace with Israel, even when expressed by Arab governments, is not deeply rooted in the sentiments of the surrounding populations and communities. An exception to this trend can be found among the Kurds, whose collective historical experiences and struggles resonate strongly with those of the Jewish people. It may be time for Israel, in partnership with the United States, to formulate a strategic political vision that aligns with the Kurdish people. With American influence, such a vision could engage both the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq and the Kurds of western Kurdistan (in Syria). Despite their imperfect governance, the Kurds represent a realistic and natural ally, especially considering the threats posed by Turkey to Syrian Kurds and the destabilising actions of Iran. This strategy should include the establishment of military bases by US and Israel in both regions as a foundation for a deeper and more meaningful partnership. Such a move is vital not only for the survival and self-determination of the Kurdish nation but also for the security and future of Israel, which remains a target of deeply rooted cultural antagonism in the region. Thank you for your time and consideration. My sincere respect and admiration for your work. 🌺 Ab Boskany Melbourne, Australia

Breadth of view...breadth of view. As we're all zeroed in on hezbollah ceasefire questions, Syria pops off. As we're all zeroed in on Syria, now you're saying Egypt might be on the blind side. I think it's time that Israel could stand to have an unexpected friend show up and shock everyone. Is it wishful thinking to hope that the Iranian regime falls and all of the sudden Reza Pahlavi comes to return to Iran and all the sudden Israel's greatest threat becomes her greatest ally in the region? I would definitely like to see that alliance from the ages brought back to life.

My privately interested comment: The problem is, that under international law in 1920 Kurdish national aspirations had been acknowledged, but since then not heeded. Is the definition and solution of this problem to be left in the hands of Turkey only? Should there not be a broader international effort in order to redeem a once international Allied recognition of Kurdish national aspirations, mentioned in the Treaty of Sevres 1920 (signed by Istanbul but not ratified by Ankara and left out of the Lausanne Treaty 1923)? From a legal point of view, Turkey had subjected itself to the stipulations of the 1923 ratified Lausanne Treaty after its defeat in World War I. One obligation of this subjection (there are more, see for instance the articles on Cyprus) is to maintain good relations with sovereign states. The literal text of the Preamble is: "Being anxious to re-establish the relations of friendship and commerce which are essential to the mutual well-being of their (i.e the signatories to the Treaty) respective peoples; and considering that these relations must be based on respect for the independence and sovereignty of States." Is Turkey in accordance with the spirit of the principle expressed here? Allied powers that were signatories to the Treaty, besides being NATO partners, could, on this legal basis, remind Turkey to abide by it's legal obligations, should the country show signs to move on to further undertakings against the Kurdish people who already have, under codified principles of the Law of Nations, an unalienable right of somewhere somehow achieving national independency. And while at it, why not involve the other nations in the region (Irak, Iran, Syria...) that should share the same interest? And why give under international pre-UN law illegal PLO/Hamas national aspirations such a disproportionate amount of attention and support, while the Kurds with their legitimate cause for the past hundred years largely have been left to themselves?!! By the way, Ottoman empire and Arab and Jewish independence were in accordance with the Sevres-Treaty. It took an Allied conquest into the Middle East to make way for Arab states and one Jewish state. Let Turkey's respect for the independence and sovereignty of States as well as for independence of new nation states (a.o. Kurds, Assyrians) now be a trustworthy example of its Lausanne-Treaty compliance. Not “muslim brotherhood solidarity”, but a reshuffle of states and alignments in the Middle East is sorely needed. This time, it takes God (of Israel, Isaiah 19) to make way for that…

I never heard of Mr. Wurmser before watching this video but his presentation was convincing and logical. Unfortunately, it not just Israel that has a short term view of strategic reality. It's a natural shortcoming in most democracies to imagine that peace is mankind's natural environment, and armed forces are often disposed of before the threat of the time has fully receded, requiring an expensive military buildup later.

Excellent conversation, and an excellent guest! It is absolutely time for the US to ensure regime change in Iran by letting Iranians throw off the ayatollahs. It was always obvious that Israel must work towards it, but Dr. Wurmser lays out a stark description of the geopolitical landscape for the US, as well. At this point, the Mideast is a triangle of military power of Turkey, Iran and Israel. Previously, Turkey and Israel were neutral or pro-Western, while Iran was the anti-Western power. Now that Turkey is shifting to an anti-Western, and likely pro-China stance, flipping Iran becomes imperative, and the people of Iran can do it if not given a cold shoulder.

Israel just played coy with the piece agreement with Egypt... It was evident to who ever was seeing that it wasn't for peace yet for a big junk of piece... I'm so sad it's all happening during my lifetime... It all unfold so quickly that one has to be a complete dumb to assume differently... Seriously...
