Lets face it anyone could have seen that Israel could not rely on arms supply from the USA from the time of the 2014 Gaza war under the Obama administration that should have been the wake up call for Israel amongst the hundreds of warnings that Israel chose to ignore, the height of recklessness and negligence and Netanyahu is completely complicit by as usual doing nothing. Hamas was allowed to build up tunnel infrastructure for 17 years, similarly Israel leadership did nothing to stop Hizbullah in Lebanon since 2006. There are no excuses possible.

My personal opinion: If I was Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu I would not go to the USA to talk to Congress because it is rumoured that some Democrat Congressional politicians are not going to attend. After the meeting, I see myself having a private meeting with President Biden where I will receive a tongue-lashing and a threat that if I do not sign a peace agreement or dance to the USA tune they may withhold their weapon shipments or support. What I also see is that Biden needs all the votes he can muster after that betrayal sanction those IDF units, not to mention some other recent betrayals by inviting Mr. Benjamin to gain back some Jewish votes. Israel does not need another 4 years of Biden. Personally, I will tell Biden that I have a war and a country to run. Plus any foreign policy Biden makes up now may be fruitless because he may not be in office come November. If I didn't know better, I would have come to the conclusion that he's actually trying to dismantle my government by making things difficult for me and the IDF to function. I see the July 24th meeting in the USA as a colossal waste of time and energy. I would be surprised if they tried to arrest him to gain public support, I just don't trust them.
