WOW What an amazing team. ! Sour Cherry blows me away as a coach. Her Team is so tight, so much love, such a wonderful family is created in this sport. TO see her team so happy win or loss. They look at them selfs and break down their game day as a true athletes. "What I did right what I want to improve on, what I want to do next time." That's outstanding how the girls can look within and out and take EVERYTHING as a win. NOW THAT is a SPORT now that is one hell of a coach!! LADIES .....ALL ladies In a derby you are a breathtaking storm of awesomeness !!.

I used to watch roller derby as a kid on tv in the 90s when living in San Antonio...i think i remember seeing a mens league tho....never knew what was going on but it was fun to watch...

This version of Roller Derby looks like a valuable experience for those who participate. Unfortunately as a spectator sport it is lacking. The highlight videos are all action but the game is lumbering. From the position of a spectator all that you'd need to make it more watchable is a minimum forward movement for defensive players.

From an ascetic comparison, you won't attract many older viewers because of the omitted but requisite banked track. The first time I saw this shown in a mini doc in 2003?it looked to me more like a weekend recreational, "X-game" hobby, I thought what is this? I thought the television lead in said "Roller Derby"... This is great exercise and a anger outlet for cooped up tech workers/hipsters, but don't expect it to have the same success and fan base that the Roller Derby did or does. I'm not dumping on it, I didn't foresee attracting droves of paying onlookers to my Hockey America games and pick ups either, and we even had better uniforms.
