My husband is patient and rewinds often so i can take pictures of the beautiful knits i see. Yes, i have knitted some, but not all. They give me great ideas, but i never search for a pattern like you do. I knit from my ideas then make a plan and knit it. I love the knitted sweater turned into cardi. Its beautiful. The only way i can think of to fix it is to dye the whole sweater a soft color. It will no longer be white but choose a color that will go well with green, but not change the green colors. Ive done this before and it turned out well for me. LOVE your ideas.

We watch mostly crime/detective shows on Britbox and Acorn...lots of great knits! In particular is the show Shetland. Almost everybody is wearing handknits all the time! (I may be exaggerating just a bit). Some of them are well-worn and tattered, but the beauty is seeing all the knitwear worn in "everyday life".

Nicole, I really enjoyed this episode! Lots of very inspiring ideas. 💖 Maybe it's not a "handknit" but, MY obsession/dream knit is what I call "Walter's grey cardigan" from the "Fringe" series! 💖💖💖 Don't recall which season but it's about halfway through when he starts wearing it. It covers the hips, has pockets and shawl collar. A simple design with intersting patterning at the yoke/shoulder area and near the edge of the sleeves__which is where I'm stumped. I know it's nothing spectacular, yet, I'm not sure how to get that 'zig-zag effect' stitch patterning. Thanks for all the 'eye candy'! 💖 Btw, that sweater Daniel Craig is wearing looks like something I would attempt__very structured with what appears to me to be my fav, seed stitch, as well as the color! 😛💖🙌😺

I don't watch a lot of movies, but I did LOVE Katniss's sweater/vest/cowl thingie in that first movie. Way back when, I searched and saw all the patterns available on Ravelry, but I can guarantee you that this design would look atrocious on me, mores the pity. The sweater pattern I would love to track down is a sweatshirt-style sweater, with a 2"-ish standing collar featuring a gorgeous cable. It also has cables down the raglan sleeves and down the arms. I saw it on a video of someone wearing it at a Rhinebeck years ago.

A number of years ago I was watching "The Holiday" and once I saw THAT sweater I couldn't even concentrate on the movie. At that time I tried finding a patter that was even close and couldn't. For Christmas that year my 20 yr old daughter that was by no means a master knitter devised her version of this sweater. It was the best present ever.

I once saw a sweater on a tv program and went so far as to contact a series to try to find the person who knitted the sweater. You are brilliant with new types of content. I have noticed in the last 6mos to 1yr that on a lot of long running tv series there are a lot of hand knit sweaters that I have seen the patterns on Ravelry. On all the law and order series and Grey's Anatomy (don't judge) Why not have a mal that is about hand knits on the screen instead of a particular pattern. My favorite example that got my clicker going is from either season 3 or 4 of Yellowstone. The oversized cardi that the Native American woman who was the wife of Costner's son. It was white with a native american design in red and black. I have found it for sale on the Yellowstone website but not the pattern or who knit it. This is really fun My husband now calls me in the tv room and says "is that one hand knit" lol

Not only guilty of suddenly getting absorbed by the pattern a actor was wearing (and in some cases, showing to perfection), but completely distracted by what the scene was about. Even had my partner one time, stop the video and ask a question that could have only been answered by following the dialogue. Colour me dumfounded! Perplexed! Completely clueless! I hadn't wanted to stop the video and peruse because it came on so suddenly (I'll remember, right?). So focused on the stitching, the drape, the possible type of yarn used, that everything else jus faded out of my consciousness. Now I hold the remote, (I have the POWER!) and stop as appropriate, take notes, then resume and enjoy the show!

There is an episode of the tv show 'doom patrol' called 'Immortimus Patrol' (season 4 episode 9), where basically every character has a custom knit sweater or pullover that is sort of a christmas theme, but as if the primary symbol of christmas was ham. A fairisle style pullover where some rows are the word "HAM" repeated across it, a festive tree with ham underneath as presents, that sort of thing. I do not think I would wear any of them, but as soon as i saw them i thought 'oh i wish i had that costume designers job'

If you ever get the chance to watch the Danish version of The Killing, DO IT! I don’t know why they did it, but for the American remake they changed the plot entirely! Different perpetrator, different motive. But they did keep a lot of all the other stuff into the smallest of details. Same people, same scenes, same relationships. I was blown away when I watched the American version (I’m from Europe so I saw the Danish one when it came out). Still don’t understand why they had to change it. But it does make for an interesting watch of the original (maybe that’s the reason? 😂)
