As soon as you land in Dar.....

Just landed in Dar and within 2 hours already had KT Shop kebabs, samosas, chai then sugar cane juice, madaf and mix!!! Damn...Dar is excellent!!!!!!

Thanks for the sharing the video Altaf. I've heard Dar airport has become shida sana recently when leaving the airport after collecting your bags as security open and check every bag to see if you have paid duty, etc.... resulting in long queues. Did you experience anything like this?

Hi I didn't have any issues with customs. We passed the bags through the scanners and whereas they were asking people to open bags if they saw something warranting attention, my bag went through. I must also say that although its a new airport, the systems are the same old. A disjointed visa application system and queues. I advise to get an e-visa rather than visa on arrival. We waiting for very long for the bags. It was a busy flight and all the bags were just arriving on one carousel while 2 others were un-utilised. Some bags.were just being removed and kep aside by handlers to create room for more bags but passengers weren't informed. I saw a lot of frustrated passengers who had been waiting for so long only to realise that their bags were removed from the carousel. All in all, it can get frustrating at the airport esp if you arrive in one of the big flights or at a busy traffic period. However, the moment you step out of the airport..... you just feel that excitement that you are "HOME" and no place in this world can come close to it.
