My take on 1984 closing. Sorry, didn't have the Butter Flavored Crisco logo or slide, hope you like

this theme of as the world turns on and on the orchestra version is better than all the themes. i mean you can acually hear the bongo part. the brige with the friench horn is so cool! cbs should keep this theme for holidays.

LOL... This is freaky. I thought this was real until I begin reading the post. You did a excellent job.

I never knew they used a bridge in the 1988-1993 version of "The World Turns On and On" what did the bridge sound like? Or was it merely just the playing of the drum intro again?

I would not be surprised if by a miracle , As The World Turns were bought back with opening and closing credits (without reading the tiny credits at the bottom of the screen) I do not need it

There were a lot of speeling errors - did you also notice I left off Vivian Gundaker?

i love the original and this version but hated the last one because they took out the bridge.

Is it possible that you could make a 1985-1988 closing remake featuring the orchestral remix which sounds similar to the final remix but it's more dramatic and features all real instruments and i believe it has the best drum set/cymbol track. It's a version that began the use of the cymbol track that was used in the final version of "The World Turns On and On"!

Are you ever going to do a version with the 1981 original theme and the 1988 themes? And how did you get the music to sound as great as it does. That's the most clear version thus far. You can really hear the cymbols very well compared to when it came through the television speakers.

Do you think you could find the super dramatic orchestral remix? I think the unbridged 1988-1993 sounds like a watered down synthesized version of that song but not as dramatic or as fast paced.

Although on special holiday eps of the show from the late 80's on the first part two logo it featured a short of a different orchestral remix then when they returned for part two the full orchestral remix played albeit the last few notes of the song. You might know the version im speaking of. Is it possible for you to make the W in world similar like the opening with the long line on top of it?

ATWT's theme remained the same from 1981-93, only different versions. And this is the only one I had. I didn't like the 88-93 version because they cut out the bridge that was left on from 1981-1988. In this version, the bridge occurs when the boom operators' names roll up.

Before that they used the Charles Paul.

Was this orchestrated by Elliot Lawrence?
@BigSingh7 жыл бұрын
Elliot Lawrence was responsible for this theme -in fact, he gave them different versions of the themes he made for the P&G soaps, but in the 80s, P&G began relying on various new age/space/ambient artists for some of the background music i.e. Tangerine Dream, Larry Fast/Synergy, Jean-Michel Jarre to name a few.

That was a great remake of the closing. How did you get the sound so clear. I could hear all of the cymbol track. I loved the bridge it sounded mystical and the ending of the bridge was very dramatic with the drums and the two synthesized notes sounded kind of disco like.

So cool this was ATWT's best theme too bad it's not used on today's broadcast much like the actors nothing good lasts on this dying daytime drama with it's low budget production disregard to actors and indifference to viewer polls and boring storylines
