They gave B&B the slot after Y&R in the Eastern Time Zone, bumping up ATWT to 2pm/1pm CT.

+Johnothy It's a shame. ATWT was far more popular here in the Netherlands than B&B. It had about 800.000 viewers here every day (it was broadcasted from 17:00 - 18:00 ). Very popular for a daytime programme with a population of 16 million. They tried to broadcast Y&R here but the ratings were too low. Days of Our Lives was taken off air too because of the same reason. ATWT is so much better than the other shows. But after 2005 it wasn't as good as it used to be though.

+Dutchmusicfan1992 Yes it was a shame. If you watch old clips of the show from the late 80s, the actors seem so natural in the roles like they aren't even acting--they seem like real people and real families. You don't see that on shows always today. Such a great era of television!

As I recall, 2PM was the original time.

@@erikbunty2016 Yes 2PM eastern 1PM central was when As The World Turns aired on most CBS stations however it depended on syndicated programming in some of them. In Denver Colorado KCNC aired Guiding Light at 9am. Days of our Lives aired at 3PM on KUSA in Denver Colorado but that’s how they did it.

Yeah and now The Talk took over the As The World Turns time slot, doesn't that suck?
