@WyattScott , that's a tough one as you've covered so many classics, I'm trying to mainly learn the UK stuff, white riot, career opportunities, safe european home, first time, alternative ulster, the list would be endless , oh yeah, I do really like social distortions version of ring of fire. Been into punk for 45 years but only recently started playing guitar, there's not a lot of lessons out there that show the chords and how to strum the rhythm, oh yeah and there's hardly anything by the angelic upstarts out there 👍

Hey now! So got the gain on both my Marshall JVM 50 watt head, on the left and my Blackstar Club 40 on the right fairly low at around 9 or 10 o’clock. I’ve learned over playing the past 35 plus years that too much gain is just really bad. So get it just right is critical for a great sound, do not go overboard for most punk rock. Then for my pedals I’m usually just using an overdrive with the gain set to the lowest possible setting so it’s really acting as almost a clean boost. This gives my amps a bit more saturation and sustain and lets chords ring out and solos sing. A bit of reverb yes. And for tonal amp settings, I go easy on the treble, I set the mids and bass at around 6 or 7 and the treble at 5 or 4. Too many guys turn up the treble way too much and it results in an ice pick harsh sound.
