The ON button actually doubles as the calculator mode button, and you can adjust the brightness. In my opinion their are quite a few cool features you didn’t seem to be aware of, But you’d have to go through the instruction manual to find them all :)

"Does it work, yea" - "Does it do everything you need it to do, yea" - "is it better than other similar products, yea" "is it better for the flight test, yea" but you're not impressed because it doesn't flash like a video game?

Perhaps a little too much criticism on the E-6B… that brilliant piece of equipment was developed during the mid to late 1930’s and is still used today. And by the looks of it, pilots will still be able to use it for safe and accurate flight planning for a 100 years after its invention. There are new, quick and very handy digital tools indeed, but the E-6B is a marvel. Respect to Lt Dalton!
