This is the main reason I won't buy a suppressor. If you can do a NICS background check in a matter of minutes you can approve a suppressor.

We agree completely on that front.After all, the background check for NFA items is the exact same NICS check. Our primary objective is to get them out of the NFA, but until then we have to deal with the current system. I know the wait is frustrating, but you 9 months from now will thank you for buying a suppressor!

I understand your frustration. I'm a blue collar guy, and that 200.00 tax HURTS. But maybe when the hearing protection act passes, we'll get our tax refunded to us...

@@batmantissWe put that language in there for a reason. The $200 tax is unconstitutional and you should get your money back. Not sure if that provision would survive passage, but we're going to fight like hell to keep it in!
