Jimmy, thank you so much for your warm words-they truly mean a lot to me, and the appreciation is absolutely mutual❣️ It’s always inspiring to see your deep connection to Asaf’s music and the care you put into your reactions! Asaf is undoubtedly the king of metaphors, and “Bang Bang” is another brilliant example of his lyrical genius. With his raw, powerful voice, it feels like he’s carving poetry straight from his soul. The song is layered with dark yet breathtakingly beautiful imagery. Here are just a few examples: “I love you like a Jew on the run” A love that feels overwhelming, relentless, and full of struggle. “I love you like a scalpel loves flesh” A love that cuts deeply, painfully, yet carries the potential to heal. “I love you like the roots in the sand” Like roots planted in sand, it appears deep but lacks solid ground, hinting at instability. “Bang Bang Bang, I’m back again” The endless, magnetic pull of love and pain, cycling over and over. I know how much you admire Asaf’s artistry, and it’s clear here as well. But with so many fascinating elements in this performance, I thought you might highlight even more!😀 From his rich vocal range, showcasing impressive versatility, to the stunning metaphors, the extraordinary instrumental work-including his phenomenal playing on the homemade CAN guitar, where he seamlessly incorporates Oriental musical influences-this performance is packed with brilliance. Add to that his expressive, passionate, and powerful delivery, and it’s truly a one-of-a-kind experience!🔥 Asaf is known for maintaining clear boundaries when it comes to his private life, which is something I deeply respect. That said, he has shared glimpses into his world. For the past six years, he has been in a relationship with his Italian girlfriend, Katerina, and they live in France in a breathtaking space surrounded by vast nature, including rivers and streams. On this property, they run a vegan animal sanctuary called "Different Pulses", dedicated to rescuing animals in need. Asaf, a committed vegan, speaks passionately about his lifestyle and values, using his platform to raise awareness about animal rights and environmental issues. Their work, often shared on Instagram, is inspiring and heartfelt, showing their deep compassion and dedication. Asaf also connects with his fans through interviews and videos, where he openly discusses the inspirations behind his music, his creative journey, and his life philosophies. Lately, he has been offering updates about his upcoming project, allowing fans a rare and exciting glimpse into his artistic process. These moments he shares offer such valuable insight into his artistry and personality, without ever crossing into unnecessary personal details or gossip..👏 It’s mind-boggling that Asaf’s videos aren’t racking up at least thousands of views-clearly, the masses just aren’t ready for perfection! 😉 Thank you again for this reaction🙏😍Your genuine passion for Asaf’s music and the effort you put into your videos are truly remarkable! You’ve done an amazing job showcasing this masterpiece-it’s deeply appreciated by those of us who hold his art so close to our hearts❤️

If you’re interested in continuing this journey with Asaf’s music, I’d be more than happy to suggest more of his masterpieces. Just let me know!😊 Aside from his boundaries, particularly when it comes to sharing personal details about his partners or those close to him, Asaf is not a closed-off person in any way! On the contrary, he’s an open book in many ways, frequently sharing parts of his personal life - not only through videos, interviews, and live Q&A sessions, but also during his performances. He does so with incredible humor and charm, making it such a joy for fans to connect with him and gain meaningful insights into his experiences😍 His songs are deeply rooted in his own life stories, and he often speaks about the events and emotions that inspired them.

Hey Jimmy! I absolutely love how excited and enthusiastic you are when talking about Asaf Avidan as an artist, musician, and his incredible music. You’re starting to sound more like me and Rinat! 😊 You mentioned feeling like he’s a fusion of Tracy Chapman and Janis Joplin, which is such a fascinating observation. I agree, and I’ve always felt that a touch of blues crosses into almost all his songs, giving them that "no boundaries" vibe. It’s as if he seamlessly blends the ancient with the new in a way that’s uniquely his. Personally, I’ve always thought Asaf might be a reincarnation of Janis Joplin, channeling her raw vocal intensity and emotional vulnerability. But I also hear shades of Nina Simone in his poetic lyricism and haunting, soul-searching depth, and Jeff Buckley in his extraordinary vocal range, effortlessly shifting between falsetto and a grittier, lower register. Honestly, how else can one person have so many ways to express such profound artistry? It’s mind-blowing! As for not finding much info about him online, you’re right, it’s scarce. That is unless, well, you’re me! 😅 Thanks to my obsessive-compulsive research tendencies and sheer love for the man and his music, I’ve dug up a lot (but don’t worry, I’ll keep the more personal stuff to myself out of respect). That said, Asaf has shared a few things openly. For instance, he once talked about being in a polyamorous relationship early in his career with two women he cared for deeply. He even wrote a song titled "Green and Blue". Green and Blue being the nick name to keep their identity private. It’s just another example of how deeply his personal experiences influence his art. Speaking of relationships, here’s a funny story: I was scrolling through an Instagram post with this endless stream of comments from women proposing to Asaf. Naturally, I jumped in and jokingly wrote, "I’m not the jealous type, so I wouldn’t mind all the other wives at all lol." A few comments later, Asaf himself replied with, "Ok, let’s pack it up, everyone, and move to Utah!" 😂 Moments like that show not only his wit but also how deeply he connects with his fans. Thanks again for the fantastic reaction to "Bang Bang"! Watching your journey with Asaf’s music has been such a joy. Looking forward to more!
