I took asajj to the Calgary Face to Face Open. Played a list similar in the 1k and placed out at 5th. She is unbelievably aggressive and a blast to pilot! Awesome video, I will definitely be testing some of your options moving forward!

Congrats on making the top eight at the $1k! Were there any cards that you found effective that I'm not running here?

I had really good success with the no good to me dead in the main. I took Cad Bane x2 in the sideboard, he was a big help against decks that I couldnt finish early. I brought in 2 breaking in also, it helped me finish the game on mid game sentinels. I also slotted in toro because the toro cunning combo is really sweet to land. A huge fallback in my list was I took Dr. Evazan in the slot over Bazine and that was a terrible idea, he puts up much more damage, but we had two bosk/ecl in the top 8 and he costs me a game if he isn't resourced in that match.

Loving the series! I'm surprised you didn't include (or mention, unless I missed it) Sneak Attack, seems like a natural fit for Asajj

That might be an interesting one to test! I'm more enthusiastic about Sneak Attack for Rebel decks since it enables the Fleet Lieutenant + Sneak Attack combo for 5 immediate damage as well as having the "standard" use, but it's possible there are good options for it here as well!

@@TowerNumberNine Sneak 3, Ventres 3, Base +1, Ventres ability when played a event +1 = 8 dmg with one card when she is out with the added bonus she deals damage first if you want to hit a unit. and it opens up a +1 for all other units attacking after that, as you would want to prio her doing the first attack before she gets removed.

@@davidvelazquez677 yea. however where I play there are a lot of removal. daring raid, vanquish, takedown. and with her 4 hp she is an easy target. usually do not live more than a turn, tops two. so using sneak (or surprise) is perfect to get most bang for the buck.

I've been running shoot first as an event as well. It's essentially a +2 for 1 resource on Ventress. I will test out Look the Other Way now though, great idea!

Thanks! Shoot First might be interesting too, I thought it might be redundant with Ventress’s ability but you could always play it on other units…

Jabba might be a nice include, run the full underworld package and play shoot first/MaK for free on Asajj flip

Well I literally just pulled her showcase about an hour ago and was thinking on how I should build her on the drive home from my lgs. Thank you for the suggestions in this video :). Don’t have three copies of Now there are 2 of them so will try out the other options.

Don't worry if you don't have those -- while they can be very strong they are not the most consistent thing in the world and the deck might actually be better without them! (Haven't tested both versions in depth at this time)

I built an Asajj Red deck using Sneak Attack instead of NTATOT. I get Daring Raid to help equalize board states, and Inperial Interceptor and Ruthless Raider are both good targets off TDR and Sneak Attack

I put bib fortuna instead of greedo. having another sheilded unit turn one play in the deck besides crafty so I more constantly have a unit stick around for now are two of them on turn two. plus it lets you play events cheaper ;)

Thoughts on running the TWI card (can’t remember the name atm) that discards random card from opponents hand or creates 2 Battle Droid tokens? Cost is 1 and seems effective w Ventress

I almost had that as one of my picks for the “other things to try” slide! Didn’t test it but I agree it has potential here.

I run it in a red variant. Going Political Pressure into Geonosis Patrol Fighter is a dirty turn 1 lol

I won the 1k in Los Angeles used similar list only difference is that u don’t have the best card in my list prisoners of war is mvp on turn 4 on a seventh fleet defender or elite p-38. Star fighter, then bringing out ventress and blast something for 5 damage without ventress taking any damage back. Plz try my mvp secret tech card 4 cost prisoner of war Also Geonosis patrol fighter so good with cad bane

Congrats on the win! Where was that $1k and what opposing decks did you end up playing against? I haven't tested Prisoner of War but it seems like it could be an interesting move to have available, especially if it winds up giving you some droids! (I'm a big fan of On The Doorstep on the Ventress deploy turn for a similar reason, a 4 cost event lines up pretty well!)
