That statement is pretty true dependent on the series but Hao is s completely different story.

@@NorthernWind_Vlll I have to understand why the author decided to translate Kurobina as "Raven" and not "Black fowl". I did some research and Hina/Bina 雛 means chick or doll (it's the same kanji for Hinamatsuri in fact) and of course, Kuro 黒 means black. Perhaps Takei did something like FMA, where the japanese title literally translated would be "The alchemist of steel" but the author explicitly stated she wanted any foreign translation to be "Fullmetal alchemist". Maybe, I think, he didn't want to use Karasu 烏, because it doesn't have the same affinity to Yoh's Byakko in terms of writing and hearing, but he wanted to keep the meaning of the two brothers connected in having birds inspired oversouls, so he changed the translation so the names would contrast both by writing, 黒雛 and 白鵠 and translation, Raven and Swan. I know it's not an answer to your reply but I was thinking about it and thought you would appreciate.

@@hana_flower875 of course I do! Yeah, I did search for translations a while ago and black fowl would be an all black male chicken (can't say the work because youtube doesn't like it all that much). It looks interesting, but I do agree that Raven is kinda more badass than a chick, and ut still works quite well you know. The two birds do mirror each other, but there are litteraly some swans that are black, but I do think that that would've been more weird to have, kurobina sounds great either way. Just thinking now, maybe it's that the name raven may be a misinterpretation or something that the author wanted to have, but with editors and stuff, it may have been changed around, maybe they wanted to be cooler so they used raven, idk.

​@@NorthernWind_VlllI think I remember the scene that took place in this episode where one of the sailors was able to see Hao's spirit armor oversoul confused at what it is. My best guess is that if a shaman's oversoul is strong enough it can be seen by a non spiritual person. I hope that makes sense? But there was never any implication that an oversoul could be seen if it was strong enough by the creator

@elimDBZ i think that the sailor was just a more spiritual person, you remember that Ryu didn't see ghosts too, he eventually did, Manta started seeing them all of a sudden when first meeting Yoh, there's something that teiggers a persons ability to see them.
