Thanks so much for this lesson. Especially the "pre-diagnostic" of keys for the basic wheel/backbend posture. I'll keep on working with the wall.... Thanks again!

Wow this is so interesting. I would have never even thought of starting to try a drop back in my practice, yet I decided to have a go at this during the video. I only went a few inches and immediately felt a very clear tightness/pain a little to the left of the centre of the chest. I knew immediately this was my area to stop because 1) I wouldn't be able to come back up safely, and 2) I was already getting so much information here by this familar, but often un-noticed or un-recognized tight spot in the chest. Thanks for the video!

Could you also post a tutorial on dropping back against the wall?

Nvm. I didn't go far enough into the video.

Why are we exhaling here while arching back? all back bends are done with inhalation right?
@davidgarrigues6 жыл бұрын
Exhale back and inhale when you stand up.

@@davidgarrigues actually that's my question. When we are arching back in Surya Namaskar/upward facing dog/camel pose/bhujangasana or any other back bends we inhale. So while dropping back from the standing position also ideally we should inhale.( 9.23min to 10.22 min) But you are telling to exhale and drop back. When I tried doing it the way you said im finding it difficult.
