Bekwai is one of the acient towns in Ghana. after the asantes war with the british, the british adopted Bekwai as central trading point in Ashanti due to rivarly between the british and Asantes hence a lot of old british buildings. my grandfather told me it was the only place they sell automobiles and all british companus like the uac, british tobacco, agreymont and the likes have their quaters in Bekwai.

@@dennisbonsu7279 true. Most of the British central banks were all at bekwai My dad has a book about the history of bekwai. He wrote it in 1999. He was a sub chief at Bekwai

There were a lot of rich people in Bekwai, and back then, you didn't need to move to Accra or Kumasi. There were affluent people all over Ghana.
