I was caught up in an a 12 year addiction to heroin, crack and prostitution and overdosed 6 times in a month and through all of that I’m still here so I know there was a higher power watching over me and I know I have a true purpose here on earth!!! 🌍 by the grace of god I have five years clean and I’m trying to get my sister to open her eyes and get the help she needs!!! Plz pray for my sister tabbitha🙏🙏 who is also dealing with her own battle!!! 😭😭❤ I love her and truly want the best for her in her life!! I sent her this song and the let go one!!! I’ve preached my heart out to her and tried to get her into rehab three diff times and she bailed last minute all three times!! I still always have this glimmer of hope for her!!! When I heard this song I first thought of a few struggles I had during childhood that I can't quite get away from now. Often I can. I was abused as a kid and ran to the one who did it on my own school playground. I ran to the very one causing the most pain in my life at the moment. I still can't grasp all of it and struggle with the stress. To escape some the hurt I still had inside I often ran to the next night of drinking to get drunk, a sex friend or relationship not meaning to satisfy or truly love. In college I became a Christian and my thinking about life and making it through greatly changed. I need to continue to preach the gospel to myself daily and believe the gospel deeply. When I run now, most of the times it is for different reasons.
