phenom. thanks for the upload. striking and eye opening results there (summer one as well). because I knew you were there and I was actively looking for you, I could usually find you. What struck me is that you were almost always twice as close to me as I expected, even after I had identified your likely location. the four-minute mark and the 7-minute mark are particularly good examples. thanks again.

Yes I'm usually quite close to the camera , from a longer distance been identified become even more difficult

Thanks for posting this, it's about time somebody made a good full length video on the effectiveness of ASAT. It as pretty darn effective I'm impressed sometime this summer when all the foliage is out you should make a follow up video. I'd love to see how well ASAT would do in green terrain.

Great vid .I think ASAT has to much black in it. I used the grey version to bow hunt years ago and it worked fairly well.

You completely misanderstand the intent of the video and of the camouflage itself. The intent is not to be invisible but less visible as possible. Of course on a computer every body can see me. The intent of the video is to give a general idea of the mechanics behind the camo. However this is a camo that points much on the versatility factor. Of course if i wear my ghillie suit i am more invisible but those are completely different things with different weaknesses.

Part of your issue is choosing a solid backdrop. When you have scatter behind and in front you're practically invisible.

There are commercial sintethic scent covers for specific species .Personally I don't use them , when I think a scent cover is useful i put my main clothes over the smoke of a wood camp fire.This covers my human scent and the smoke smell doesn't scare animals. However stay still and absolute silence are very important too

Mate try a test with you in Asat vs a couple hunting buddies wearing Realtree & Mossy Oak. I swear by Asat camo .. I have tested it up against our army Auscam in outback NSW. Hung both shirts on some light scrub and from different distances the Auscam is first to catch your eye,.. the colours blend into a solid mass = Failure to conceal the human form !

Mee too but the puropuse of a camo is not to be invisible but less visible.In a real life situation walking trough the Woods i doubt that somebody would have the same chance to spot a man wearing asat.That said I agree that on a computer screen waiting to see somthing i can spot whoever with whatever camo , whatever camo they wear i can spot them 90% of times but is a prepared situation, if they wear well positioned , respecting the basic military rules of camouflaging , in a real life situation is difficult to spot somebody if you don't expect him, even in a plain olive drab green suit....

Sadly I picked you out in every shot. I don't disagree that ASAT is decent camo, but they need to completely remove the black. That is what distinguished you every time. Very little black in nature. If they changed the black portions to gray or a lighter Tan, it would be 100x better.

When I watched,you legitimately got me on the second one,never saw you till you moved,but on the others,I saw you. However,if your using this for military applications,and your just reconning an enemy movement or whatever,I think that you wouldve never been noticed,if someone just kind of looked around,I doubt they would see you. your camo is good but if I can recommend something...add some natural stuff to distortion your body...branches leaves etc...you stick out cause of your humanoid shape would be best to blend in

I started using ASAT about 5 years ago for hunting whitetail. It is easily the most effective camo I have ever used. I have literally had deer, coyote, fox, raccoon all walk up on me to within a matter feet; only noticing me if I moved or when they smelled me. And I’ve had dozens of animals simply pass by me on a trail never knowing I was there. The pattern and color scheme simply messes with their visual range. BUT, the problem is with the company. They have not licensed the pattern (except to FirstLite...which seems to have lost the license now) - and the materials they use, their quality, and product availability of what they produce on their own are ALL quite poor. I do still have an old XL cotton field shirt that I use as my outer camo layer over a jacket...but you can’t even get that anymore.

to my experience there's no camo perfectly effective in every environment in the open, only camo specifically suited for a specific environment .Asat must be seen as a multipurpouse camo. quite good in a variety of scenariosThen you Always have to keep in consideration the front cover and the rear cover , it's a basic rule of camouflage whatever camo you wear

I bought my ASAT back in 1992 or 93 from a hunting store in NJ. In the years since, I've had countless bucks, does, wild turkey walk within five feet of me (I bow hunt from a ground blind; no tree stand) and with the exception of one doe who smelled me, all the animals didn't know I was there. A buck once stopped about three feet from me and pooped! Humans, on the other hand, have little trouble spotting me. That's ok since I'm not hunting humans. Deer on the other hand, spot movement and patterns. If you sit still and the wind is with you, the deer will look right through you. ASAT makes you invisible to their eyes. I only wish ASAT sold the same quality items I bought back in the day. The new items are not all cotton and are tighter fitting. I have only had to touch up the black with some permanent black marker ink.

Great camo but absolutely will not fit big Stout guys ! Their 3x is actually like a medium in regular clothes ! Was very disappointed that no one thinks about us big built guys ! Do people think that we all like to wear the tightest close possible to show every nook and cranny on our bodies ? Hell their pants were so tight that it looks like you're carrying a dead baby bird in your crotch area ! You can see the outline of the boys clearly ! Don't like it ! Make some shit that fits !

yes it's true , i've the opposite problem. I'm a small guy so the american sizes fit very large for me. For example in european sizes i use size medium but in this case i have to chose american small size
