I've been an iPhone user for ten years now and have converted many Android users to use Apple but this year, I switched and to a very low budget Android Xiaomi Redmin Note 8 and I am way more than happy with my choice. The thing that apple users don't realize is that they praise how good the "echo system" is which is iOS but they are not aware that Android has improved so much in the past few years and improved a lot faster than iOS so it's not to the point where it's much better than iOS because they addressed most of not all the things they had issues with like lack of apps in the store, security and virus issues, hardware software compatibility and the list goes on. But just like I switched to Apple over a decade ago and was extremely happy with my choice, I've now switched back to android and feel just the same.

One Plus for me was mostly about getting as close to stock android as possible. Brilliant review. Loved the way your presented. Just upgraded from OP5 and must say it is a welcome change. The OP5 still had good chops on it but figured it is likely to become a pain soon enough. 3 days with the handset with some intense gaming and office activity on this. So far the phone has performed well and expected battery drain. Still left with a healthy 20% at the end of the day. I do like the bells and whistles they have added to the stock android. I suppose they will have to tread a fine line here to not overdo this since oxygenOS is what the OP community loves most about this phone. Some decent camera action here. Need a day out to test it thoroughly though, but it promises to be competitive enough. Mind this is just out of the gate so I expect some further tweaks to the camera software in the coming months as they look into the feedback from the community. Overall, if you want it cheap Nord, middling 8T, got some more money on you I guess 8 Pro still remains a good contender for premium. Like how OnePlus is placing itself.

Well since my last comment a couple of hours ago the OnePlus UK website has listed them for sale so I've ordered the 256gb one and a karbon case. I have the carbon case for my 8gb/256gb 6t and my 8gb/128gb 5 that was the phone that got me into OnePlus phones

Coming from a triple phone user (OP7 pro / Pixel 4 XL / Note 10+), after 1 year or so, you'll start to feel the updates getting slower and slower. To the point where even Samsung catches up. You just can't help but to feel that user neglect as Oneplus starts to focus more on recent phones and neglect the older ones. Software support is also an inconvenience if you do run into problems.

There's no real need for charging technology to charge so fast. It just deteriorate the battery health over time
@RichiAtlanticWind3 жыл бұрын
I has two batteries that charge at 30w each. And it also has a charge mode to use that is called optimized charging. It charges to 80% and then stops. And finishes the charge to 100% not long before you wake up if you choose to charge it overnight. Also you could not charge it at all to 100% ever if you can do short charges thru the day. It goes from 0 to 60% in 15 minutes. And to 97% in 30 minutes.
@KarthikSankaran3 жыл бұрын
@@RichiAtlanticWind I didn't mean OP 8T in particular but referring to to growing fast charging tech. But yeah, I have the 8T and the trickle charge towards the end helps I guess.
@RichiAtlanticWind3 жыл бұрын
@@KarthikSankaran you do have a point. But as long as they keep improving technology to give us fast charging while taking better care of the batteries I think there is nothing wrong with it. Maybe if they gave an option to do a slow charge on the same charger that would be perfect.

Graphene battery's are going to help with heating issues. As said heat is what breaks down the health of the battery and not the speed it's charged at. For example Iphones charge at slower speeds and I often see their battery's need more replacing.

Not completely for a near stock android but the fluidity of animations that makes it even better. For me, I think they're going in the right way just to give some identity to their software without sacrificing it's smooth experience.

Idk how earlier Oneplus phones felt, but I'm stunned at how much i love using 8T. Camera is a bit of a downgrade from samsung flagships, but I don't use camera a lot anyway. I love 8T. Think imma stick around OnePlus for several years. Silver colour looks out of this world. Edit: That slider though. God damn i love it. How did i live so long without it?

I realy appreciate your trust review. My thought one plus is lost their goal. Flagship killer Smartshone must be 450 euro 256gb max. If they want to bumb up the selling of this phones. Price must be 400 to 450 euro for the flagship. One plus don’t be stupid or you will ending same as other companies like htc far against the competition
@waha90143 жыл бұрын
at first they started selling at prices like 450euro(low prpfit margin) to enter the competitive market when the company first started. It is not going to be sustainable if they continue selling phones at $400-$450. In tbe long run they need money for R&D and others. Also to sell at higher price makes conaumer feeps that they are buying a premium product. Unless Oneplus follows Xiaomi footsteps where profit is earn by selling other stuff like air purifier, scooter, etc.
