It's the T-135AC (later P-50), they have a faster windup and they spin during the wind down.

The P-50 came in 3 different options. All 3 phase. 230VAC which was 500 Starting Amps, 95 Running Amps. 460VAC which draws 250 Starting Amps, and 48 Running Amps. 208VAC which draws 550 Starting Amps, and 110 Running Amps.

Tyler Copeland Actually, it's a T-135. You can clearly see the old ASC logo on the back of it. Plus, cosmetically, it's in great shape, too good to be from ACA era. Also, I have knowledge that it was installed in the early to mid 2000's, and that's ASC era, making it a T-135 AC.

Tyler Copeland It's a T-135 AC/DC, which means it runs on AC current and DC current. it also has battery backup, whereas a T-135AC only runs on AC power and doesn't have battery backup. The new T-135 AC/DC is a part of the NEW Tempest lineup from American Signal.

The fact: the p 50 stops rotating during the wind down and the t 135 rotates during the wind down. This siren is a 1 135

Pretty sure some of the later p 50’s can rotate during wind down. Maybe the model number you mentioned is what those later p 50’s actually are, I only did a little bit of quick reading.

Wisconsin must use this siren pretty widely, because I’m all the way down in the SE area of Wisconsin, and every siren I see is this type. I think there’s a few different ones scattered around, but they seem to have mainly stuck with this one. It’s cool because it sounds a lot like the old Chrysler air raid siren, and I believe it’s only a few dB short of being as loud. I never realized how huge they were, because they’re normal to me. But comparing them to other sirens, they really are huge!

There's lots of ASC in Wisconsin because they're made in Wisconsin. Just like how Illinois probably has a lot of FS because FS is in Illinois. It makes me wonder if Connecticut has lots of Whelens?

Yeah It is almost impossible to hear any siren from 1,000ft down the hill. If you listen to ACAPentrator50 video of Rob Mountains 508 you can hear the P-50 in the distance.

I'm guessing 4 ports because it's an active lower than an 8 port sirens.

It is 8/12 and the bigger something is the lower pitch or octave it is. But when the P-50 faces away you can clearly hear the 12 port kick in.

For a second it does sound an active lower but it is in fact the same pitch as your average 8/12 port siren, producing an A Sharp and F.
