Ascend Kayak Quick and Easy DIY Project - Keeping Your Kayak Seat safe when you flip..

Today’s a quick easy project for anyone with an Ascend Kayak with a removable seat.

The peg on the side of the seat that sits in the slots is meant to be inside the loop of the factory bungee tie downs. When you sit the peg in the slot you pull the bungee slack through the plastic tensioner this will secure the seat to the kayak.

Exactly what i was looking for! Great idea. My wife lost her seat in the lake and we had to hire a diver to retrieve it. Never again!

I flipped mine right after I got it, seat sank like a rock. Lucky I was able to find it. Now whenever I’m on the water I strap a seat cushion it’s a throwable PFD. Helps my back and helps it float worst case.

Does anyone know what that part is called where the seat fits into that little 3 slots? One of mine broke and I’m trying to buy a new one

I just got the sabe kayak in the desert sand color and I’ve been trying to figure out how to use that bungee system and can’t figure out how it works

Not sure about these new ones but people have complained about the older model seats rusting out, they're probably ok in fresh water.
