When difficult things happen in our lives or when we find ourselves struggling with life changes and suffering, it can be hard not to wonder, “Why do bad things happen to good people?” Or ask, “Why am I suffering this thing, Lord? You know I love you.”
Today Bobby Angel is joined by Chika Anyanwu to discuss why God allows hard things to happen to us in life and how to appropriately respond to these invitations. He encourages us to embrace hardships with joy, supported by God’s grace, the sacraments, and a community of believers.

this video comes to me just in time. my toddler had been having a serious of violent temper tantrums due to an unfortunate combination of constipation & teething, and I was very unkind to my wife while she was trying to soothe him. I wanted so badly to be in control that I expected everyone to follow me unquestioningly. in the end, it was my wife’s gentle touch that stopped the tantrum just when I was about to drive our son to hospital to see why he was crying so much. I made my apology today and we’ve reconciled 🥰🥰🥰

I think the general ideas here are excellent but we are people of stories so hearing the actual story of what occurred and specific ways China dealt with these struggles would be so helpful. Not in a gossipy way, but authentic sharing would be useful.

I was at mass 3weeks ago and the priest gave a fresh angle to a similar issue. Trails - make you stronger if you can wait the storm. Trials are permitted my God to draw us closer to Him. Temptation on the other hand is from the enemy and its only aim is to pull one down. Is 40:31 comes to mind, ...'𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙,𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙙'. Like Chika said dont nag or fall into bad habit, it what you do while you wait that makes the difference. I love your talk in the end about how you aren't here to say trust in God your good now amen and how this will be with difficulty and all that your explained until the end, how God said there will be suffering, but take heart, etc I have been think the past year or so that you guy can do what you taught easily and had no difficulty, that you were perfect, and that your teachings can be done easily and with any difficulty, I learned that some people are on a different stage then I am and that it's also by grace as that certain things can be done and that nothing taught will be easily and takes a period of time to do, not over night and not easily, I would even not want to watch videos because I thought this and I still think that you teach difficulty things will simple solution that and I couldn't figure how to that those solution, it is probably by grace but I could never figure how you guys did these things and this helps, knowing and even being confirmed that these teachings aren't just you can do out if no where and right away, that it will hard and take time, and even knowing that I'm human, flesh, that I can sleep and eat, and even the example of the angel telling prophet to eat or he won't be able to make through the journey, I still feel like I need to be perfect in practicing the teach and not being human, but I also don't know how to practice the teaching you teach without going to far between practicing like everyone else and practicing that a perfect human and mostly because I haven't seen anyone practicing your teachings on this channel so I don't know how to practice the faith properly and without over doing it and trying to be a perfectionist, I would really appreciate it if you could make videos more clearly like how she did at the end with how sometime God will have to carry us and drag us, that would really help me and maybe others who feel the same, maybe not the seeing you guys are perfect which I know that no one is perfect and that we all go through things and deal with things both good and bad but mostly in terms of practicing what we have been taught and how it's not a easily over night thing but a struggle over time, I'm sure if I have even this correct or not
