Ascent of Plynlimon from Eisteddfa Gurig 25 September 2013

The ascent of Plynlimon (Pumlumon Fawr) from the car park on the A44 at Eisteddfa Gurig. The ascent was made by the path by the old mine; the descent was made by the Pen y Drawsallt ridge. Plynlimon is 2467 feet high and is the highest point in central Wales. The walk is about 6 miles in length. The walk took place in cloudy weather on Wednesday 25 September 2013.

Really enjoyed that. I was up there a few months back and did the Llyn Llygad route, which was great. I'm back up in a couple of weeks and will be doing this route. I'll look out for your tips. I never tire going up to Plynlimon. It's a straight forward route as you say but enjoyable none the less. An oldy but worth watching. Mark
