Awesome! If you allow me to give you a hint about shell, never create a file with touch because it is too slow. Touch is used to change file timestamps. Instead, use the shell's ">" redirection. For example: "> filename.txt" will create the file named filename.txt. Thanks.

do you have any tips for batch recording to video *with* audio? simplescreenrecorder is pretty lacking as far as cli calling is concerned, and I have enough stuff to record to not wanna babysit the whole process.

This is a great and useful application. But the exit being printed at the end is a bit annoying and a bug that hasn't been fixed yet.
