Oh my I’m so sorry about hearing Ruby has passed. This gives me tears and I always loved seeing her in your videos. She looked like she was so very happy and loved her daddy. So heart breaking💔 and sure you’re crushed. We love them like they are our own blood children so it’s devastating when that time comes. Ruby will be missed and was greatly loved. Again so sorry, RIP Ruby 🙏❤️🐕❤️🙏

I feel for you Gerald, I had Dog's my whole life so I know you're pain, recently I had to put my Roxy down and it never gets easier, Roxy was with me during some of the hardest times in my life, Divorce illnesses, couldn't work, homeless, there was plenty of times neither of us had any food, they truly are family, I've been offered a few different Dog's but I think I'm done, I'm 67 and I don't want to put another Dog down, again I'm sorry Gerald and I hope Ruby didn't suffer.

Hey Gerald - so sorry to hear about Ruby. We all could see how much you cared for her. Question about the video - I have 2 damaged cylinder heads & I'm trying to decide fix them or buy new - what does the repair in this video typically cost ? Thanks, Gerald & hang in there...

Thanks To repair one cylinder is weld , new guides , new seats 400.00 to 500.00

Really surprised you didn't replace the rest of the valves unless you knew why that valve dropped its head?
@bobgyetvai94444 ай бұрын
Thats a easy answer . Valve springs went too long not being changed and one broke .

Why the hammer after welding is it just to flatten it and give it some shape or to compact the weld into a tighter more compact weld basically giving it more volume?

I always thought you have to heat aluminum heads because the seat has so much press fit that if you dont heat the head the seat will skim off some the press fit on the way in.

When you weld up the combustion chambers, do you measure the cc's of the repaired hole to make sure you're matched with the others?

I notice you like to wear a a "Mile High Crankshaft" shirt. Let me tell you my story with Dave @ Mile High crankshaft; I dropped off my virgin cast 454 crank already hot tanked to be ground, I waited my turn for it to be ground, finally it was done and I drove up to Denver to pick it up, paid Dave's wife and drove off with my crank, after returning to my shop and balancing the crank, I set my clearances and set the crank in the block and started installing pistons, I get to installing the # 2 piston and notice I have about .070 side clearance, I then notice the fillet has been ground flush with the counter weight. The next morning after a 80 mile one way trip I'am waiting for Dave to open up, I show Dave my crank and he proceeds to tell me my previous virgin STD STD 454 crank was ground like that from the factory, which we all know is utter bullshit especially seeing you can see the fresh wheel marks on the counter weight. So I'am thinking how could he screw this up this much, turns out he didn't, HIS WIFE DID IT, the person that was with me when the crank was dropped off said he seen her on the crank grinder. So here is the disturbing part of this story, Dave never would come off the lie and admit what happened, unbelievable to me, what kind of shop owner operates like this? Mark Jones 719 650-1609
