Hello, Paul. I am dealing with a misfire issue. I can see oil in the spark plug threads, and in some wells, but not on the coils or around the coil areas. Do you think it is internal or a bad spark plug o ring? One more question, why do you get smoke from a smoke machine coming out of the oil filler cap or oil filler? How does the smoke get to the pcv valve? Thank you.

@bbmd2200 if I recall correctly that has coil on plug where the valve cover seals to spark plug tubes. The valve cover has to seal to the tubes. The seals are most likely not sealing. They come in a valve cover kit. Doesn't sound like internal cylinder such as ring leakage. That doesn't get to the threads only the electrode.

@@paulkelley86 The thing is that there is no oil on the plugs. Usually, the coil is covered with oil when the tube seal is bad. I replaced the valve cover with cheap parts less than a year ago. I am kind of curious to know how the oil gets to the threads. I don't know how the internal of an engine works. Thank you for your help.
