Been waiting for a QR WHEELBASE EXTENTION. Better late than never. Would have been nice to have offered the same shaft options as with the 3rd party QR ADAPTER. Especially for that price point.

Just realized that when you expand the product description tucked away all the way at the bottom via a minuscule link is an option for a longer shaft available for purchase. Kind of a shady way to give you the longer option, but only in addition to the base option.
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 7 күн бұрын
Yes so for longer option you can buy the cylinder that cost $29.99 but what’s weird is that my long shaft I got from buying my original qr’s all come with the a 146mm shaft and the one that Asetek sells as extra is also 146mm 🤷🏼‍♂️ maybe it could be my unit but I was pulling as hard as I could without doing damage to the wire and my wire was about 5-7mm to short

We all want longer shafts. So yeah 😉 😉 Black or white! So wait you now have a simucube wheelbase? Congrats! Also idk wtf sasetke is thinking 250? Wtf Btw i figured you would like to know the p1000s do in fact come with the new electornics now. I got mine 1 month ago works perfeclty! So good legit reduced my laptimes 4/10ths within 2 days of use i was shook. They just fit me and how I felt I should have been the entire time. Worked with my style of long trail braking.
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 7 күн бұрын
Being married for so long I don’t need a longer shaft but I’m sure the wife will say different 😂 I have had a Simucube wheelbase for probably 3-4 years now but been using my Invicta for last year maybe bit longer. 250 for the shaft is expensive but technically it’s a wheel and base side qr it is made very well but should be for the price. Yes my P1000 going strong since new circuit boards have been fitted but with all the attachments added I could almost afford one of the new active pedals 🙃
@reviewforthetube6485
@reviewforthetube6485 7 күн бұрын
@TheSimCircuit true lol have you tested the simucube active pedals? I love my p1000s on hydraulics like so good i can't imagine my consistency and laptimes being better. But god thode simucube active pedals feels so damn incredible. The push back the being able to adjust the brake for every single car with a click of a button is probably the coolest part of it most don't talk about. That to me id the selling point. You just click a button and it changes the entire feel! Like what? I love it has travel also like so good for trail braking. Me loves some travel! But you can make it whatever you want. P1000s imo are the most customizable behind the simucubes. But with the p1000 you need all of the extra parts like you are saying. So then the simucube active pedals almost become worth it when you think about it that way. But then again I bought the 2 pedal set for under 600. Thentotal1 hydraulic for the brake so it's around 700 total then the brake kit so 720. So really not that close in price because that's really all you need but yeah still pretty incredible.

@@reviewforthetube6485 I’m taking my bank card to the expo and I’m itching for the active pedal, maybe if I get some discount 🤔 even 10% at that price point will make a big difference. I shortlisted 3 wheel bases, wheels and pedals I want to try wile I am there and I won’t be coming home empty handed however I will only be buying one thing not 1 of each unfortunately. Very eager to see the Invicta wheel also 🤩 I very briefly used the now called active pedal ultimate but could not play around with settings at all so definitely not had the full experience.

Really want the 3rd party base qr, but too expensive to add the wheel qr. I use 2 wheels in Simucube, the gt neo and one for rally. Use qr like the moza/simucube, and I have the wire of the gt neo with velcro in the shaft, which make it clean and unnoticiable, but when changing to rally become an issue. If the new simagic neo hub x is good for rally I will get it and share the magik link wire that connects with magnets so easy. If not, then I would need to save and buy this asetek option cause lots of time I am too lazy to change and wire wheels to play different games/cars.
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 5 күн бұрын
I don’t have the the hub x but got invited to try some new SiMagic stuff hopefully I can give you some feedback on the hub. Asetek was talking about a cheaper qr that will not have the electronics but that could be good for your rally wheel. Not sure though when this will be coming to market either 🤷🏼‍♂️

I suggest making a video showing the actual wheel base side installation on a Simucube 2 Pro base.
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 7 күн бұрын
It is just 6 screws, exactly the same as attaching a qr to your steering wheel but on the base instead. I did actually record a bit showing me doing just that but I cut that from the video to not make it too long of a watch. In the video I briefly zoom into the 3de party qr when talking about the wire there you will see the bolts I’m referring to. Asetek left a notch for the usb wire to come out from that’s about it not much to it.
@eduarprmd

We remove the Simucube motor side asymmetric 3 bolt QR and attach a wider Asetek 6 bolt plate using the same screws maybe, then attach the Asetek QR to this? I realize this was not a tutorial. Im definitely doing this but also have OCD 😂
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 6 күн бұрын
Yes I see what you mean, I have an adapter plate on the Simucube asymmetric bolts then bolted the Asetek Qr to that

Very useful, but the price??? How did they justify this price?
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 6 күн бұрын
I also think the shaft is pricy but I am guessing the reason is you have a base side QR on the one side and a wheel side qr on the other side of the shaft🤷🏼‍♂️ Other shafts from simcore/hrs/GSI etc.. are about half the price but with no electronics they are just mechanical. They also have in most cases just the standard 70mm bolt pattern on each side so much cheaper to produce 🤔 It works very very well and is built like a tank but for that price it should be.

Question: I use all my usb peripherals (wheel, pedal etc) directly to the pc. Is a powered usb hub better for wheels with screen? Or does a pc also counts as a powered hub/connection? Any good tips for a powered usb hub?
@TheSimCircuit
@TheSimCircuit 6 күн бұрын
Oh I would say a powered usb hub is a must. Most pc usb ports can’t match the power of an independently powered usb hub. Some steering wheels do require more power to use screens and leds at max power. Also connecting things like cameras or file transfers are very fast. I bought of Amazon and paid like £60 a 12 usb port but check AliExpress most Amazon product just rebranded AliExpress stuff so can probably pick up a good one for half the price I paid 🙌🏻
@filiposay
@filiposay 5 күн бұрын
Sabrent looks like the go to for simracers, there are different options, I always would go for the newest version and most expensive with less features, that means is up to date and best quality components (instead of pay for unnecessary gadgets). About what you connect on it, I would use DDU, base and similar that need to pass more power and data in/out (the base pass info to the PC but the pc pass info to the base too) directly to the faster ports in the PC (2.0 / 3.0 are out of the deal) and then the hub for pedals, shifters, button boxes, leds.., that pass data in only and the power is minimum. If you don't have usb 3.2 in the pc you need the powered hub, before you kill the ports in the pc or the peripherals for work under enough power
