Amazing production value. I appreciate all the work you put into setting up your piece-to-camera and b-roll shots. No corners cut! Cheers.

Ive got to say. Its the one wheelbase that truely blew my mind. Its as if its using telemetry ffb. Its insanity how connected i feel compared to other wheelbases. Yes simagic and simucube included on that. This invicta has blown my mind.
@HowlerBikeVlogs5 ай бұрын
the one thing i feel asetek should include in the box is a cover for the quickrelease on the base. in case you dont have a wheel attached and want to protect the pins from damage and/or dirt, just a little plastic cover that sits over it like a wheel would. i bet you can find 3d printed parts for this tho.

10:20 - If you get a set of SImagic Haptic feedback units you will never be unsure of your ABS activation again ;) Not sure how easily they will mount to the Invicta pedals though. Totally agree on the Invicta base, amazingly solid wheelbase which fantastic Force Feedback! I ended up with a CubeControls 320mm round GT wheel, which I prefer massively over Aseteks own wheel which is a bit skinny on the grip. Edit: One thing worth noting though, the Invicta wheelbase will be good for everyone. The Invicta pedals on the other hand are very hit or miss depending on what pedal feel you like. They are insanely stiff, with very little adjustability.

That being said I’m kinda drawn to the Invicta wheel base and might just jump ship. Life’s expensive but if you get joy out of the experience it’s worth it.

Danny - love the channel however I have a love/hate relationship with KZbinrs who review gear and say they are unbiased but wouldn't have been able to review the gear without getting it for free to begin with...so while i appreciate the notice of this scenario, it immediately causes a conflict of interest and i wonder how genuine most of these reviews are given it's tricky when biting the hand that feeds. It's nothing to do with you, it's about the topic in general across the platform, everyone does it....There's nothing better than having someone review something that bought it with their own hard earned dollars and can say absolutely anything they want about the product at that point. That said, i did enjoy the review, nice work.
@dannyleeracing5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching, and commenting - I absolutely agree, there is no finer and more genuine review than that of a real, actual customer, they're just few and far between because there's no purpose or incentive for them to really spend time doing them, not to the extent that youtubers/content creators tend to do. I enjoyed the 'genuine customer' advantage early on in my channel when I reviewed the Fanatec CSL Elite (take a look at my first ever video), and that's where my channel was born after enjoying creating that video - but now I'm this far down the road, that particular benefit is gone - my approach now isn't any different from then, my personal conduct and values are the same now as they were then (probably better now, to be honest) and after building this channel over a few years I actually have more of a reason to protect my audience and reputation. Receiving review hardware doesn't change WHAT I say about the product in question, it just makes it POSSIBLE to say it, given I can't review what I haven't used. But this in itself is a form of bias by exposure and this is why I flag such videos as 'paid promotion' in KZbin. Be assured, none of the above is meant to be taken as defensive or retort - I totally get your points, I ponder such things all the time as do most reviewers that care about their reputation. The best thing I can do is make sure my reviews are as genuine as possible so I can fully stand by them.
@1FastMKVSupra5 ай бұрын
@@dannyleeracing completely understand and I’m not at all saying there is still not value in reviews conducted in this manner, I just have a hard time discerning between genuine feedback vs. biased, that’s all. Amazon and other retailers realized this a while ago and flag reviews as someone who has been validated that they actually purchased the product. At the end of the day, these types of videos are still valuable in steering people towards (or away) from certain brands or ecosystems of products because some feedback that is unbiased like you bending the pins on the quick connector is a real world example of a situation that other people could experience with using the product. Keep on keeping on Danny, like I said, love the videos and you’re creating some great content.

I bought a simucube pro 2 a couple months back, im sure all these top end ones are the same (ie awesome) the problem I have is setting up the detailing as there are so many options compared to the Fanatec CSL DD.
@reviewforthetube6485Ай бұрын
Yeah simucube has over done there settings its to much and it's a huge reason I won ever get it. Because you always feel like there is more you can or should do and it messes with your head. Minimal in srttings is better and the base should be so good out of the box that you should only need to adjust a few settings for preference. It shouldn't be not set up at all and then you have to go in adjusting every little thing to get it how it should feel.

An integrated USB hub is nice, for stream decks n stuff Said the same thing on Dave's review though, the naming scheme, while sounding very italian and snazzy, gives me no idea if an Invicta is worse or better than a La Prima. I'd totally use an Asetek setup, if the button boxes weren't ugly as sin

@dannyleeracing2 ай бұрын
I've been using the VRS DFP lately and the VRS is EXCELLENT value, the feedback is better than the Invicta yet it's basically half the cost - you just have to be comfortable with the compromises it'll force upon you (no data connection in the shaft, USB/standalone wheels only). You'll find a review in my channel recently. The Invicta IS great, but I'd choose the VRS if it were my own money.

I like what they are doing but don’t get how they keep saying they are making an open system with no barriers to use 3rd party gear… yet make you buy some pesky ugly front mount. How is that not a ploy to make you buy their own product to mount their base?
@dannyleeracing5 ай бұрын
The front mount is the most committed and expensive option but it's far from mandatory, we can now just use that cheap GT Omega plate instead. If it were my own money, I'd be choosing the cheapest and simplest mount, but at the same time the front mount IS kinda cool.
@rover13745 ай бұрын
@@dannyleeracing For a wheel base like that you’d want to use a front mount if possible, especially for those of us that have things dialed in and want to lower monitors over the shaft (I feel dirty). It just means you’d have to buy the Asetek one instead of whichever one you already have with your rig.
